Title: MacPoker Post by: Pawprint on October 28, 2013, 12:32:32 PM I've been pondering for a while about switching to a MacBook and am just about ready go, but could do with some advice on what the poker options are when it comes to using OS X
As far as I can tell, the following have Mac clients Pokerstars 888 Poker Party Poker You can use an instant play (web based) option with SkyPoker Ladbrokes But a lot of the other networks seem to talk a good game about mac software 'coming soon' iPoker Boss Which leaves the option of running dual operating systems with something like sandbox (?) or parallels. If I used one of these, do I need to then purchase a copy of Windows to be able to run any existing poker software I have ? Would really appreciate some feedback from players that use a Mac and play poker across multiple sites. What works and what doesn't. If you a run a HUD or any other software such as ninja, then I just concluded it was a right upheaval and best to stick with windows. I bought a macbook air which is great for travelling and playing a few tables, but for my day to day grind, it was just too much like hard work.

Even better nowadays with more robust virtualisation software.
I did it merely because I always had macs and windoze is ldo disgusting. Yes, if you use Parallels or Boot Camp you need a "licence" for Windows. PS Why a Mac except for the fancy design? PS Why a Mac except for the fancy design? Partly the fancy design, but also it'll be my day to day work laptop, an all the iCloud functionality with my iPad and phone will make life a lot slicker for me.
