Title: Innocent disabled man burned to death in the streets of Bristol
Post by: scotty77 on October 29, 2013, 01:31:08 PM
Cliffs

Bijan Ebrahimi, 44, took pictures of youths vandalising his flower baskets
A court heard he planned to give the images to police as evidence
But a neighbour saw him with a camera and reported him as a paedophile
Police arrested Mr Ebrahimi but let him go when they realised the mistake
But two days after his release he was attacked by vigilante neighbours
Lee James has pleaded guilty to murder after beating Mr Ebrahimi  unconscious before dragging him into the street and setting him on fire
Stephen Norley pleaded guilty to assisting an offender
Both will be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court next month

So so shocking and sickening that this can happen in the UK.

Someone on another forum summed it up like this.

It has become a truly absurb, modern-day witch hunt and it's largely the media's fault.

This is not the first story of its kind and it won't be the last.

If you look a bit weird, if you have possession of a camera in the vague vicinity of a kid, if your job title starts with 'p', if you live alone, if you give off a 'creepy vibe', if you speak to a child, if you make the slightest socially unacceptable decision, or if someone just decides to spread a malicious rumour, then that's it. You're fair game. You're guilty until proven innocent and the punishment is apparently death.

That bloke has done nothing wrong here. He could have been any one of us really. Imagine if that was your dad/brother/best mate.

Quite frightening really.

It is shocking - obv the police should have rounded up the chav scum mob and charged them with breach of the peace and made it clear that the poor man had done nothing wrong.

Just horrific, and hopefully they both get very long sentences!

Sigh. I dont understand if he was a pedophile why these people would want to kill him anyway. Let the courts deal with it I certainly would not want to be in jail with any sort of child abuse crimes. So sickening. Dirty chavs
