Title: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: GreekStein on November 04, 2013, 03:14:23 PM Playing 5/10 in an unusually good game.
There is a very big Mexican fish who posts the straddle of 20. He's playing 2k. We raise to 100 first to act with Qh Qd. Mongolian tourist, who seems tight but hasnt done anything out of line in playing 960 calls the 100 as does a creative Korean reg, a 30 year old chinese guy (who just doubled his 1k buy in to 2k by limping pre for 10, then calling a raise to 70 with 8c 3c and getting it in on 3h 7c Ac vs 7d 7s). Small blind also calls (solid reg) and the Mexican, as expected, calls. The flop comes 2h Jd Td. Reg checks, Mexican checks. I bet 350. The guy next to me shoves his remaining 860. Korean folds and the 30y/o chinese guy asks how much before taking about 20 seconds to call. Chinese reg then folds as does the Mexican. Chinese guy has 13k behind. Thoughts? #Needatleast2morecardsimo Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: titaniumbean on November 04, 2013, 03:22:38 PM doesn't much seem like a game where you regularly want to be folding overpairs.....
Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: pleno1 on November 04, 2013, 03:31:53 PM Sorry if I missed it but how much do we have? 1k effective with all right? If so then I'm Allen and expecting to be against draws and dominates pairs a lot of the time whilst ofc still accounting for a couple of spots where were beat. We do have 3/5 of a royal flush so not a dead hand by any stretch of the Imagintion.

I cover so 2.2k effective with villain 2 who flats Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: Longines on November 04, 2013, 04:41:45 PM Villain 2 has 13k or 1.3k behind?
Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: titaniumbean on November 04, 2013, 04:45:03 PM Villain 2 has 13k or 1.3k behind? I thought this. he has 1.3k back, having doubled from 1-2k with the 83cc hand. he just missed out the decimal. Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: Longines on November 04, 2013, 05:56:48 PM Ah, missed that it was that guy.
Pot is 610 + 350 + 860 + 860 = 2680? Villain 2 has 1040 left if he started with 2k, can't see a reason not to put him in here. ~5300 pot if we scoop, break even if we only win the side pot. Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: NoCardDSC on November 04, 2013, 06:43:27 PM Yer. Can't see me ever folding here. But saying that I have never played near this level...
Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: GreekStein on November 05, 2013, 04:26:58 AM Sorry for the confusion. I was converting from HKD to Euro stakes and musta forgot a few times.
At the time I thought getting it in was totally fine in that game vs those players. The Mongolian guy had KK and the Chinese guy had JJ, hence me questioning the hand. Think I'll get myself back to PLO :) Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: AlexMartin on November 05, 2013, 03:40:54 PM extremely rough spot with 220bb, 100 im dancing but this is tough. Edging near fold and smaller cbet probs.
Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: pez102 on November 08, 2013, 02:36:19 PM pretty annoying spot with 220bb... my experience against chinese reg's though is that they seem to get it in ridiculously tight, which would edge me to folding.
Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: SuuPRlim on November 09, 2013, 11:06:53 AM Ooooh, I thought it was the splashy mexican who called the flop shove, not the solid 30 y/o chinese guy.
MMMMMMMMM I think i'm still gonna go with it... Title: Re: Live Cash Spot - Straddled pot Post by: jgcblack on November 10, 2013, 05:55:42 AM Tough to be completely 'clean' when u know resultz.. but I probably sigh it in in a lot of live games.
seems like we have the best 'bluffcatcher' if you get my meaning. |
