Anyone interested in getting a blonde syndicate entry for this jumps season as it's quite expensive now @ £10 per line online? <thanks Doobs>

I love the NH racing and consider it to be a specialist subject of mine as I far prefer it to flat racing. I know Doobs is a fan too and am hoping I can recruit him into a think-tank along with a few of the usual suspects.

The entries have to be in by Nov.14th so if there's enough interest in the next day or two we'll get "The Blonde Bashers" on the road.

It would depend on how big the perm is and how big a piece you wish to have.

Entries are £10 on line.  I would do it but it just isn't easy to put the entries in anymore.  I used to do 50 in an hour, now it is closer to 10. 

I'll do the inputting should we get it together Dave if you come in as a consultant.

I'm in for £100 too which will be the maximum investment.

Inputting the lines as I discovered last year is a bit of a pain in the arse so 100 lines/£1000 will be our maximum outlay. So far we have:

I am working on the format of our perm in my usual way and will be collaborating with Doobs which will doubtless enhance our chances of success. If anyone else wishes to to be a part of the think-tank please feel free to put any ideas forward.

We will need to move fairly quickly on this as perms have to be configured and entered by Nov.14th so I would like to have all members of our syndicate confirmed by this Sunday Nov.10th.

Any body want to free up 25 or 50?

I feel a bit dafter than usual now but I think I'm going to have to abandon this project for two main reasons.

The first is that I don't think I am capable of working out a big perm longhand and there is no facility on the website to input a perm, only single lines one at a time. You would have thought that it would be possible to have two bankers say and then perm 8 from 12 others, surely that's not too much to expect for a big competition like this.

As Doobs has attested ten lines per hour is about the time it takes to input them and even if I could work out the 100 lines for a big perm ten hours inputting them seems a bridge too far especially as they have to be done at the last minute in case of any injuries.

I apologise for leading you all up the garden path and should have thought it through a little better before posting the proposal.

In my defense I was three sheets to the wind at the time...

Surely Ralph just pay someone a decent amount to do the inputting for you? I'm in for a decent share if there's room or you want to expand/double the lines etc

eff that. I have far too much stuff to waste my time on as it is. Plus I would only mess it up and we would all be thinking that we had won then I would have to sell my house to pay everyone :(

How much work is involved??

Just seen this now, and I'm plotted up on my arse in front of my PC anyway, so I don't mind doing it*

To start with I would need to manually calculate and then write out the 100 lines of the perm with say 2/3 bankers and then 5/6 from a second list and then throw in a smattering from my third list. I can do it fine for my ten or twelve lines but 100 is a totally different kettle of fish.

Having calculated (and probably slightly bungled) the above each line would need to be manually entered on the website as late as possible to avoid any NR's.

Horsey kindly offered to help me with the inputting but I still feel it's more than I could handle or indeed am capable of.

When I get my own entry sorted I will still call it The Blonde Bashers and give all of the pledgers a small piece for a mutual funk.

Because I was unable/incabable of creating the big perm for everyone to invest in which was the original plan, I have given each of the original pledgers a token 1% of my personal 12-line entry as a goodwill gesture.

Well I'm happy to report that we're not totally out of the running after the King George as we have our best line in ~340th position with ~260 points with a few big guns yet to be unleashed over the next couple of days.
