Title: Edinburgh advice! This weekend Post by: BorntoBubble on November 13, 2013, 04:05:49 PM I have just been offered (and taken) two tickets to the rugby at Murrayfield this weekend (Scotland V South Africa Sunday) and im going to make a bit of a weekend of it with my dad but need some advice as i have never been to Edinburgh before. My dad went to university in Edinburgh but a lot has changed i would guess since the stone age so I need to do some updating for him.
Firstly we need a good hotel, preferably city center any recommendations? Secondly good food, we are big Indian fans but will eat anything and as long as it is good the budget is pretty flexible happy to spend £20 or £100 as long as it is bluddy good! Thirdly but most importantly POKER! Where is best to play in Edinburgh on a Saturday night would be looking for cash or comps? not really bothered just want to play! Also we were half looking for a wierd and wonderful place to watch the England game in on Saturday we are travelling from North West England so going up the M6 and will either plan to get to Edinburgh and watch the game there or if there is a little gem of a pub or something on route stop off and have lunch and watch the game there. Common Blonde Do your worst! Title: Re: Edinburgh advice! Really like to cram the activities in and just found the Dalmahoy Marriot. Seems reasonable at £40/25 a round of golf and £120 for the room not sure if they would do a deal on both
seems to be about 6 miles away from murrayfield. Is there anywhere to park near murrayfield? Title: Re: Edinburgh advice! At Genting club, fountain park there will be 3-5 cash games first starts around 8-9ish the rest 11ish they'll run all night. Tourney is 30 freeze out, 60+ runners usually.
