blonde poker forum

Not sure if there is one of these at the moment, so thought i'd start one and get shot down in flames by all and sundry, as i do feel there are improvements required

Not to do with the poker side, i dont frequent there often enough to have seen any real issues.

i'm speaking about the toilets, specifically the gents toilets, and i two main concerns

1) is there any way the club could get some decent hand driers fitted to the walls? i'm on a 30 year old north sea oil rig and even we have a dyson blade hand drier, the ones in the club either blow cold, blow for 2 seconds, or dont blow at all. And the fact that so many "gentlemen" are seen taking a number 1 or leaving a trap and then NOT washing their hands does make me feel a little icky (but a nice touch has been the deoderant and mouthwash i spotted last time i was in)

2) the sit down, number 2 option (unless you are very insecure and have to go behind a door before you get your little fella out). Well, every time i use one of these i always end up having a nice rectal wash, free of charge, when i go to get some bathroom tissue from the dispenser, as the clever little optical flush device gets set off by my elbow. Would it be possible to either have the paper moved to the other side of the cubicles, or the sensors moved to a more agreeable position

looking forwards to any other issues some folks have, and the witty replies of the blonde fraternity regarding my undercarriage ablutions

1) Kind of minor but could be fixed fairly cheap I'm guessing. Paper towels always a decent option with recycling.
2) Happens everywhere, not sure what the solution is tbh.

one of the door locks has been broke for at least a year, I don't care tho as danger shits are fun.

The drier on its own is the one to use, it's one of those powerful ones.  You also don't need to do a dance near the door when it's busy.

happened to me last visit, think it's the middle trap

i let the door open when it does and sit there smiling, my dog doesnt get embarrased when he dumps, why should i?

Coming to a poker club and disgussing about toilet issue ? Do u really come to DTD just because they have a nice toilet ? Lol
I understand your points but really ? I seen worse in other poker club but I don't think this will be an issue . Just my opinion

If one customer complained , I will tell him to FO. It's simple if they complained , they come n speak to manager or owner not to speak to the public for advise . Hope u understand . I m not digging at u just my opinion .

Well Frankie runs a Fish & Chip shop, but your complaint was about DTD, so if I owned or ran DTD this would be how I'd deal with it.

1) If you came & saw me, or one of my staff, whilst at the Club, I'd listen carefully, apologise, & resolve to do better. Then I'd buy you a beer for handling it properly.

2) If you used the blonde PM service to make me aware, I'd thank you, apologise, & resolve to improve things. I'd also say "next time you are at the Club, I'll buy you a beer".

3) If you started a thread about the problem, on a forum I sponsor, I'll let you guess what I would do....

Well, this seems to have escalated rather quickly.................

Tikay, can i just clear this up, before things get ugly.

I was in no way trying to put the club down, make any waves, have an argument, upset the blonde fraternity etc etc

All i wanted to do, was start a thread where people would be able to make sugestions as to how things might be improved in the club for its customers, if you read my first post, which is you surely have to realise written quite tongue in cheek, injecting a little humour into the situation, then surely you can see that all i can see wrong with the place is that the male ablution facilities have a couple of minor faults.

If you look at some of the replies, then i'm not the only one who has noticed these issues, and unless there are seperate facilities for the staff and maybe some VIP guests, then they have to "endure" the problems as the rest of us, and have quite probably thought the same as myself, especialy the hand drier issue. I admit the free bidet option maybe be due to my own personal wiping technique, and not many others have an issue with it, or maybe enjoy the cooling sensation.

This is after all a forum where we are supposed to be able to speak freely, within reason and without starting personal vendettas, and therefore i don't understand why we cant start a thread such as this without "option 3" being discussed.

If Rob or Simon had started a thread asking for suggestions to improve the club then we wouldnt have had to have a to and fro such as this.

However i do agree that i personaly could have raised my concerns in a different manner.

I was simply responding in exactly the spirit you suggested, no more, no less. In fairness, perhaps my humour is not as good as yours. DTD is not my Club, but if it were, & you could not be bothered to mention this to me whilst at the Club, or drop me a little PM, then yes, I'd probably be pretty miffed with you.

You are free to start "improvenents" threads all day & night, of course you are, but there was a much simpler, & more effective way of dealing with this. All imo, of course.

I'm sure there is some reason for it - but why are toilet cubicles so dark these days??? 

Also...I would suggest automatic doors so those that do wash their hands don't have to touch the handles that the dirty buggers have touched who don't wash theirs (or simply change the hinges so you can kick it going out instead of in) but I best not  ;whistle;

...why on earth don't they wash their hands WHY - then they touch the chips then the cards then we all touch the chips then the cards  ;madasahatstand;

And yet I still get funny looks when I have a hand sanitiser on display at my seat when playing.

all suggestion for improvements are very welcome, helps us a lot, as ive said before, pretty much most decisions that are made as as result of member (customer) feedback so more the better, cheers Rob

As I said earlier , if someone came to my chippy n complained I will listen but if they go public I will be pissed of . Its spoiled the reputations of my business . As I said are , all u have to do whilst u at the club , talk to Simon or any managent staffs there and I presume they will help u with your problems . I know u are a very clean and hygienic person but don't have to go public . Hope know u get my points . As a business person aswell , we tried to get as many complains we can especially on public forum like this . Thanks and have a wonderful day :-)

and bear in mind that although yes this is a public forum, it's hardly going to interest someone who is not poker minded AND uses DTD club AND is even aware that this forum exists, i've hardly done a Julian Asange Wikileaks government takedown as far as i'm aware

Ive got an idea, why not have your dump at home, before or after you play? My smallest kids have this really annoying habit that the moment we step out of the house, they want to use the toilet, its like they want to do their own little tour of public (or private) conveniences. Luckily as an adult I am able to pick and choose when I use the Karzi and accordingly dont have to worry too much about the state of third party toilets. And just as well in most cases. Is it just me ?

My kids are the opposite, they will spend all day at school holding it in then run upstairs when they get home - I tried the "use their water and loo roll talk it saves me money" talk bit it didn't work. Pretty much like an unwritten work rule is never to use the loo on an official break...only in work time.  ;whistle;

 ;D Good point, I think your right, mine dont like school toilets either (to young to wipe), so the burden falls on me when they get home. Years ago I remember working (for a short while) at a place where you would get bollocked if you were deemed to have spent too long in the toilet. No guessing why I went self employed then.

Not so sure about a few other people though.
It's good to find out what can and maybe should be made better, Dtd doesn't have many faults but the toilets our a issue. Sometimes it's down to the customers to make a effort aswell though seeing the state of them after customers use them.
There should be nothing wrong with posting this teamonkey as Dtd do listen and take note :)

obviously some of them have been rather tongue in cheek, but i dont mind that

the DTD folks have been cool and have taken on board what's been said, nice replies from Nick, Simon, hell even Mr Rob Y has replied, so all good from my eyes.

the phone charger thing, well, yes, i think it is an idea to have them as lots of folks like to let the wife/gf/hubby/partner know that they are doing ok, either when tilting like mad OR having a card rack time, however on the flip side of it, it can get annoying where the same player on a table has to be prompted that the action is on him every hand as he/she is too busy not paying attention to the game the rest of us are playing for what ever reasons (not mentioning any names as i dont know them personally, but i have witnessed this a few times at DTD and other venues)

I kind of miss playing STT's.

I remember playing a couple when the club first opened.  I guess the club has moved on from these, but I still think it would be popular, particularly for the new players to the club.

Are they request only now, or just not worth it due to costs?

I am not sure if anyone agrees or thinks the same, but don't you think sats to DTD events or events held at DTD are a little late, as in could be started early? It always seems as if there is a mad run of sats towards the end or lots of mega sats. Perhaps starting the Sky poker thingy or even Genting (at Nottingham) sats pretty earlier than usual, especially regarding buyin, etc.

Probably would personally like to see chipleader tournament make an appearance, maybe that would help online & plus, I think last time the CL was on it was on Boss Media, could help the 'home' cash games? However, appreciate it ma not be ideal with new room & the fact it had an overlay last time :(

I don't have any real improvements to club though, would say phone charging is perhaps an issue, BUT then again people know to charge their phones before & to use them left and concentrate with the pokerz, right? ;)

DTD have been running Satellites which get you in to the Sky Poker UKPC for 4 weeks now, & the Event is not until mid-February. Thsat seems a reasonably early start to me - 4 months.

The £500/£1,000 Satellite Tokens which DTD award, & have been for some time, allow players to play any DTD Main Event of their choice.

Personally, I think that is a terrific system.

Ah, I didn't even realise they had already started, which indeed is a terrific start. Perhaps I shouldn't just assume! I tried to get some started in my local casino, with no luck :(

Some fantastic new events lined up for DTD in 2014 though, the addition of a GPS leg, UKPC & UKIPT just for starters!

I know it's Christmas, but please, please, please can we sort out the soundtrack? It's currently one Christmas CD on a constant loop, which only lasts about an hour and contains some of the most annoying songs I have ever heard. I don't mind going fir the Christmas songs thing, but we've gotta have some variety? Just stick the radio on, even turning it off would be better than this, it's getting oppressive...

Oh FFS, this is meant to be a serious(ish) thread about what the customer would like to see improved at the club, not feeding milli's all consuming hunger for a 12 month xmas period!!!!!!

I should be home tomorrow if weather allows, hopefully will get a trip down to DTD for a game of poker (and a brisk anal cleansing should the need to evacuate my bowels arise) if there is something apeealing to my budget and family commitments allow
