Title: Caught in the crossfire
Post by: david3103 on December 05, 2013, 02:19:53 PM
This has been bugging me for a week now.
UKIPT 6-max

I'm in seat 4 with Jamie O'Connor in seat 6, Michael Howard in Seat 1, Ben Dobson in 2 and Richard Hawes in 3
I chipped up oke pre-antes but since they came into play Jamie and Michael are at war with Jamie opening pretty much 100% from hijack and Michael 3-betting every time with Jamie mixing it between 4-bet and call. All this with me stuck in the big blind.
Pretty much nothing gets shown down.
Ben and Richard are steering clear.

What's my range to get involved?

its about your percieved image, its easier said than done but throw in the odd 3bet, size it about 3x the open and watch them fold.
Cards on the whole irrellavant but a little better to have an ace or king in your hand.

yeh don't forget that these guys are going at it with some pretty mediocre starting hands, K3suiteds, A2o Q8o and so on.

would be a 4bet though Trigg, you'll get insane amount of respect for it, and they just wont be able to do anything with a bad hand (which they will have most of the time)

Wouldn't worry too much about it though because it's the BB and you're not rele sposed to make any money there anyways, just wait for some good cards and play back.
