Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: BorntoBubble on December 08, 2013, 11:28:38 PM stacks behind?
Im probabloy checking behind but it depends on stack sizes. Dont mind b/f if we are deep Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: pleno1 on December 08, 2013, 11:45:20 PM like 3500 behind.
Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: verndog158 on December 09, 2013, 12:08:20 AM fairly happy to check behind? not slightly too thin to bet here? as we are bet folding any check raise?
seems slightly nitty to check behind, but possibly saves us a sticky situation if he c/raises? especially with a aggro image, think hes more likely to check and let you barrell your bollocks off? Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: Rexas on December 09, 2013, 12:21:14 AM 1100?
Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: polerization on December 09, 2013, 12:32:38 AM 1100? agree with chris here though what if he c/r us here he could be airballing with are image (i know c/r bluffs are not to common) but think check behinds better no? Checking I guess we miss value from QT but most of the time he isn't going to c/r flop with that anyway and theres a possibility that he's decided to c/call river with 55/88 so I think its close enough that you can do either, personally probably lean towards checking.
Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: pleno1 on December 09, 2013, 01:39:43 AM hell literally never ever c r bluff we dotn need to worry about that
Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: muckthenuts on December 09, 2013, 01:57:18 AM No reads yeah? Checking seems a bit weak. think like half lot or so would be good. If he is total unknown then QJ, QT, maybe even 85, JT. Like betting should show a profit IMO
Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: Oxford_HRV on December 09, 2013, 02:59:58 AM i think checking back goes well, but people don't balance river checks that well with Fd's especially if you are playing aggro, you'd expect villain to probably pot river or close to it for value with his flushes, cus turn and river is good for him to get hero calls with worse hands.
Then i think maybe its more credible he was bluff raising flop with gutshots or taking off with 8X but has to shutdown cus board gets terrible? If he is total unknown then QJ, QT, maybe even 85, JT. Like betting should show a profit IMO Doesnt mean its the best line. xback might have a higher ev than betting. If QJ/QT/JT might xr flop, might bet turn, might xc river, 88/55/j9 are v likely to take this exact line pre + flop + turn + river. Nut spot for bluffing river and making villain hero fold, so I think its too thin. Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: Rexas on December 09, 2013, 06:55:21 AM 1100? agree with chris here though what if he c/r us here he could be airballing with are image (i know c/r bluffs are not to common) but think check behinds better no? I've been hearing this sort of thinking alot lately, thought it had gone out of fashion but obvs not. Failing to bet on the basis that we might get check raised is up there with the worst reasons in the book to not raise. Look at the hand, there is very very little that I believe anyone would decide to check raise with on this river given action leading up to this point, and I very highly doubt it will ever be a bluff if he does. I'm a pretty big fan of thin value bets, and would be tempted to go for a small sizing, maybe even something like 800 again, to induce a call from a worse hand like QJ, Q10 etc. Personally don't think this is too thin as I wouldnt expect him to check a flush/straight on this card, potentially might check call 55/88 but I feel we can beat an awful lot of other hands that would check and feel "priced in" to call a small bet. Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: muckthenuts on December 09, 2013, 11:43:42 AM The main reason I'd like to b/f is I think we can at least reduce the set combos ott, there aren't many reasons to go small with 55/88 and plenty to go big. Its still thin but with no knowledge on this guy I think betting is more attractive in that its a Sunday and likely to be a rec who hasn't come on a Sunday to do folding.
Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: AlexMartin on December 09, 2013, 12:46:54 PM hell literally never ever c r bluff we dotn need to worry about that ?? then easiest solution in history? Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: SuuPRlim on December 09, 2013, 01:14:21 PM 67 and 9T our only bluffs yh?
Title: Re: 162 6max river line Post by: action man on December 09, 2013, 01:47:25 PM see people take this line with 55/88 all the time, i think he hero folds a hand that we beat a lot and obv just snaps a set, think we're too thin here, when the flush completes a lot of people like to just c/c river and make sure they cant go broke in the hand holding a set.
we have a blocker to QJ AQ QT and dont often see people c/r the flop with these hands this early. |
