There's a few others in the 'two times' club I think.
I'll be pleased just to make Day 2 after my 2013 GP experiences.

The Golden Chips Sats are now in the lobby for tonight.

5pm, 7pm and 9pm nightly with a Golden Chip in each.

Start accumulating them now!

Final table the Grand Prix with the Golden Chip in play to win:

£2000 UKIPT Nottm Million GTD VIP package,
£1100 UK Poker Championship Seat
on top of your share of the GTD prize money!

Golden chips are not capped this time around so accumulate as many as you like. Another handy alteration is that there are NO merged stacks but players can play as many Day 1's as they like and take their highest stack through without forefitting.

Any questions please ask :)

Glenn

I will ask the first question then

If i manage to accumulate more than one golden chip and don't need them as I get through on my first attempt (it is hypathetically  speaking) do you lose the others or are refunds being passed out.

You can play them in an attempt to get a bigger Day2 stack so no refunds is what it says on DTD site.

Glenn
Can you confirm how the UKPC seats are won? Are they for Top 5 in addition to prize money or somehow attached to Golden Chips?

Hi

Is correct

Re the UKPC, they are Top 10 included in the GTE and in no way linked to Golden Chips. Golden chips prize is a VIP package for the UKIPT Nottm for reaching final table. So FT with your chip in play will get you, VIP UKIPT package, UKPC seat and prize money.

Hi

No merging but you can play as many day 1's as you like and will take the highest stack through
. You WON'T forfeit your a stack by playing more than one day 1.

The golden chip sats are ticking over at 5,7 and 9pm. Win multiple to have more chances of getting to the final table.

32 Golden Chips won at the minute. I suspect this will pick up very soon, I've got a few things in the pipeline over the coming weeks.

These are at 5pm, 7pm and 9pm nightly and I think we're averaging 2 a night since they started.

If anyone has any questions about the event or the Golden Chip's/satellites please just ask on here.

helpful as always glenn :)
had a thought and not sure if it would work but DTD could do golden chips in xxl comps just like its doing for deepstack tickets, rewarding FT players a golden chip, just a idea and once again also golden chip for beginner comps to the winner(if they run). think this would promote it well being in the faces of regulars in xxl's thurs, fri, sat, sun

The race is on:

The first player to win 8 Golden Chips (One for each Day 1) will win a £550 Dusk Till Dawn Seat Credit that can be used for future £500 Deepstacks, any UK Poker Championship side event or any future Big Games. We expect a decent number of players online tonight for our other Satellites and hope that the Grand Prix Golden Chip satellites will pick up and generate some more seats.

The most anyone is on at the minute is 2! So there is plenty of time and great incentive to start qualifying now!

Hopefully gonna have a crack at this as I did enjoy the last one

Not so sure the 1 in 12 current sat does a lot to bring in the punters though - £3 feeder to a £12 token to a (1 in 5) seat would be worth trying if you need to shift those chips.

The later day ones will be interesting - those already through playing the happy to shove game knowing they have to beat their first stack  :)up

Should be fun

yeah gotta say dont like the 1st getting a seat then 2-6 get buyin back. i understand why they our doing it to keep peoples money invested in the comp though id think most would just keep pumping it into sats. 2-3 getting £20 etc is far more rewarding and although i have managed to get a chip ive got little confidence id be beating a 18man field to win another lol. maybe the bigger field sats our better?

how many do people have now? i know alot of players were playing these over the weekend

Hi Guys,

All points have been looked at and we think the best way to make these SATS effective and affordable is to add 1 Rebuy/Add on option to them. That way each one will generate more seats and player numbers will be roughly the same. This 'should' be in effect from tonight.

We have some other idea's in the pipeline as well which we hope to release more details of in the week.

You can now earn FREE DTD Golden Chip satellite tokens by playing Online Club Cash Games.

Earn 15 base points playing at the Club Cash Tables and earn a free token to qualify for the £100,000 GTD Grand Prix.

The token/s can be used for any Golden Chip satellites meaning our cash game players can still be eligible for the Golden Chip bonus

No timeframe for earning the points and you have until the start of the event to win as many tokens as you can, in order to earn your Day 1 seats.

Great opportunities to get Golden Chips in a) the earlier satellites of the day and b) before the made rush in the week before the event

Well finally got logged back in, with half an ante and bust 11th with 10 chips.

Absolutely steaming if that results stands.....others got logged back in, when i couldnt.

Think the final 14 should all be given GCs for the issue, if not then thats pretty poor.

As your probably now aware it was a network issue which as you know we have no control over.
We are reviewing all the play and will ensure all players are dealt with accordingly
For the record dtd don't get compensated for any network issues we have to take any cost on the chin that's how ipoker contracts work.

Please email support if you had issues.

I can understand your frustration Nick. In the 50 last night it disco'd just before the add on break leaving you with an overlay and the players so annoyed. What I can't understand is how if it's across the network how some were able to add on and when we came back I'd lost a %age of my stack. Surely if all were sat out the chips would just pass around?

Like you say you have to take it on the chin with Ipoker (I think you know my thoughts on that barrel full of monkeys :) ) and I guess as their position of strength in Europe grows it can only get worse.

Last night 2 out of 3 of the Grand Prix Satellites generated more prizes than the GTE.

10 x Golden Chip Seats GTD in EVERY Grand Prix SAT.

The next one is at 5pm today and there are 50p feeders running throughout.

You can win as many as you like as we have 8 days 1's to choose from and you can have a re entry on each.

Thoughts on a potential move off the Ipoker brand for dtd? These software issues must be reaching a point where the game is becoming unplayable. As I've said before, I'm very hesitant to play any tournament on Ipoker at the moment for just this reason.

If you are playing on DTD then you know that they'll come up with a fair solution for everyone. They did for example earlier in the week

If you are on and playing I would carry on and try and win a seat, then go from there

A question that may have been asked/answered before. Probably should have asked it before starting the golden chip sats.

If you are lucky enough to final and have a golden chip i think you win a UKIPT VIP Package (for the golden chip) and a Sky UKPC £1k seat (for finishing top 10). Is there any flexibility with these seats (ie: alternative comps or transferable)?

I know 100% i can't do the UKIPT in May and extremely doubtful to be able to make the comp this month - so do i have any options or will i just have to forego?

Hi,

You will need to register your tokens into the appropriate tank in the software before arriving at the club. Your chips will not go into play till you arrive as it stands. We will have re entry tanks and plenty of terminals available should you need them.

Regarding the £100 tokens, they are supposed to be used for MEGA SATS but if you would like to contact myself or Nicola directly we can see what we can do.

Hi,

If you've already played a previous Day 1 then cash over the cash desk is fine. If not we'll be selling UKash vouchers to transfer to the online accounts.

If you show up with cash, we'll get you in.

Those playing the Grand Prix

Interested to know which day one or day ones you are playing?

How many tokens do you have?

Please let the thread now if you make it through to Sunday with a Golden Chip

Just to clarify

You play a Grand Prix day one with a GC token and get knocked out

You can re-enter with a token and the GC element of that is valid

If you re-enter in cash the GC from your original entry is lost

I've so far got three tokens, hopefully going to make it 4 tomorrow, and play every live day 1 I can make.

Also, for someone who is not tech savvy or good with colour coding systems, can you tell me when the live day ones are? I can't seem to work it out from the website, since I'm pretty sure it's changed a few times!

Only intending to play online legs and only decided to play late last week - managed to get 3 GC from 4 sat attempts but have managed to burn 2 already so might try another sat.

Also to confirm Golden Chip rules….

If a player entered THAT day 1 with a Token (either online or live) it's Golden Chip entry

If a player re-enters without a Golden Chip Token (i.e. cash) it's NO LONGER a Golden Chip entry (as they lost the golden Chip when knocked out first time)

If a player re-enters with another Token they STILL have Golden Chip

If a player makes Day 2 WITH a Golden Chip - he will KEEP that Golden Chip EVEN if he re-enters with cash to another day 1 and builds a higher stack, so once you've locked up a day 2 Golden Chip entry you CANNOT lose this by re-entering

never realised this...so effectively if i make it through with 10,000 with my 1 chip and then play live Friday for cash and get through with a gazillion chips my token still stands...nice.

Getting through Day 1 does not guarantee a min cash (it has in some Grand Prix)

Obviously you'll be close to the cash if last night is any guide, but there are seven more day ones to go

Hi

First entry has to be through your online account, any re-entry can be in cash at the desk.

We will have terminals at dtd and staff to assist but to avoid waiting I suggest enter one of the live holding tanks in advance.

Good luck

Hi,

Where are you travelling from please? Levels resume at 3k/6k so I can't see you losing a silly amount.

Glenn

correct so only two levels missed

3-6k

4-8k

plug in how many orbits per level you think Suzanne and work from there

plenty of dwelling to 3 bet shoves on day 2, especially as play may resume not too far off the bubble....

If you can take/bus to Bristol Temple Meads for the 9.15 its 2 changes but gets into Nottingham for 1pm. Then you should be at the club by quarter past?

This is also the cheapest train of the day if booked through www.eastcoast.co.uk

Some one please check my maths but I expect flight 1 to finish 10.30-11.00pm.  Therefore if you go deep but ultimately get busted either you miss late registration for flight 2 of the same day or blind off between 25-33% of your starting stack (assuming between 2-3 orbits per level).  Just trying to work out how best to use remaining couple of GC's.

day 1  are 30 mins * 16 levels plus breaks so 8 hours  starting at 1pm so depends how long breaks are
either way
enter first flight bust / renter first flight / if still in late reg second flight if you cant make saturday how many GC have you got ?

Title: Re: DTD Grand Prix X: £100,000 GTD 3rd-8th February
Post by: 9_2 suited on February 07, 2014, 01:17:54 PM
Breaks are normally 20mins every 3 levels with a couple reduced to 10/15mins so I allowed 1.5hrs for breaks.  I have two GC's left after busting AKcc<QQ with about 5/6 minutes left last night with a decent stack that would have been a pretty good stack if I had won the flip.

Can only play Saturday and sort of concluded that the tactic will be real aggro in flight 1 early doors and see what happens and re-enter if busto.

Anyone with a better/sensible plan - advice gratefully received.

A message to all players,

Due to the forecast numbers for tomorrow's Grand Prix any players who have registered there token/bought in via the software will be in play from the start.

This applies to both flights 1pm and 6pm.

This will ease congestion and ensure everyone is entered into the tournament smoothly. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of your appropriate flight so we can ensure everyone is seated comfortably.

If this is an issue/you are confident you will arrive late please email Glenn@dusktilldawnpoker.com and we will assist where appropriate.
