No real reads on the player, should I really be folding on the turn here, or what that be too tight? Is preflop OK (is the 3-bet the right size) and is the flop bet/call line OK.

River is an obvious fold without a read?

I only had 18 hands on my opponent but he was playing 17/15 so reasonable tight.

Can someone tell me how bad I am and why we should fold please.

I think i would play it the same as you did. When he bets relatively small on the turn i think we have to peel and pray he checks river and we win, but when he doesn't it feels like a definite fold.
