Title: Deep in $5 2r1a - Too Nitty?
Post by: JGill_DTD on January 05, 2014, 03:52:08 AM
OR playing 12/12 over 80 hands, no reads on 3better but think hes fairly decent.

What do we do here?

http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/6743617_846953AB9E

My reasons for folding:

open utg can never be that light from that stack size;
For that reason 3better has to have a really tight range here;
We have a deep enough stack where we don't need to take a flip as the tourney is pretty soft and we are in a comfortable spot, Don't think 3better ever has less than JJ or AK;
UTG Potentially jams lesser hands than QQ that are in his range

You can fold here but it's completely villain dependant.

I fold a lot in spots like this, if I don't think either they can fold pre flop or AQ makes up part of their range.  I think this is one of those spots, almost best case is to be AK v AK v pp, which is no fun.

Good disciplined fold imo

Chris probably clicks it, calls both jams and flops them both dead :p

Lool Chris said he clicks it but may then fold to jams. Don't think I can ever fold if I click it though

dont see why we have to call a shove, make it 151k or something, 430 behind, over 30bbs?

Because it's so rare it gets through, dont think we can 4bet fold expecting them to fold JJ or whatever when neither of them are that deep

dont like this if were folding to a 5-bet aren't we basically turning AK into a bluff? very nice disciplined fold.

I don't expect the OR playing 7.5m and 12/12 ovber 80 to be opening too light off them stats, it'd be nice to know his opening from early position but he seems to have an awkward stack where he can only min raise and hope to get raised rather then jam 17bigs. Assuming no stats on the 3 bettor so disciplined folds the correct line IMO and it's a bit suicidal for him to ISO from early position without the top 10% of his range which we're only flipping against at best.

think preserving your stack for a better spot is optimal play here, good fold.

in a higher buyin game i'd struggle to fold though as it seems to me that early 3bettors have wider ranges. obv depends on players in question

Dealer how much is it?

Seve

No it's not. It's this much. (Point at stack twirling finger around stack like a witch) it's this much (stronger tone)

I wouldn't usually ever contemplate folding here. But I kinda like it in this spot with the stacks as they are.

Good fold.

Good fold at this buy in level.

Can't think of anything worse than click/folding definitely don't do this.
