Title: Deepstack
Post by: jjandellis on January 08, 2014, 01:28:10 AM
Ordinarily I would fold pretty quickly but...

Villian has played 63/31/11.1 over 200 hands and a 4b stat of 8%

Villain OPR: http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/pokerstars/xStream18/poker/statistics/FC47A48106834DCA942BD5F799A6AF21.html?t=8 (http://www.officialpokerrankings.com/pokerstars/xStream18/poker/statistics/FC47A48106834DCA942BD5F799A6AF21.html?t=8)

Quite often he has called down and made a huge shove on the river. 42 left, I'm 9th or 10th and he's marginal chippie...he's been yo-yoing from 160-250k alot.

$24 locked, crap jumps to final table min cash of $85...winner gets c. $1.2k

Do we:

a. nail our balls to the table and call?
b. fold river and continue playing good tag stats? (til 6am lol)

Obv the 3 is out there and I coulda checked turn too...

think villain will be more likely to crop up with a straight than a bluff, probs 67 looking to go to max value town. i end up calling here and saying fish get soooo lucky. but it really does look like you're beat :(

Obviously calling river! People turn way too much shit into, bluffs on the river and were way way too high up in our range to consider folding here IMO

Your hand is 2nd best often on the turn and it's hard to get value out of worse hands any more. Check the turn.

River just fold, would be the most absurd bluff ever. I doubt he can hand read and realise it's very difficult for you to have a 3 here but that doesn't matter because he just has it a lot here. It's easy for him to just call with hands you beat that he thinks has a chance of winning on the river. His bet is huge too, you need to be right quite often and I feel he has it a lot here.
