Do you guys think this is a bad play? Villain is 35/5. I feel like I am always good here when he flats the shove? Title: Re: Backraise 66 Post by: lucky_scrote on January 11, 2014, 05:39:57 PM If he's really a 35/5 type player then that means he opens really tight and limps all his mediocre/strong hands (Only raises premiums).
Some fish over-peel with all their range here (for this fish, an already tight range). So if this is the case, just flat because you have pretty good odds to do so. Title: Re: Backraise 66 Post by: DMorgan on January 11, 2014, 05:53:08 PM Well 5% is TT+, AJs, AQo so we're not doing terribly well against his opening range and with the BB being really short theres probably an argument to be made for just folding pre. I'd fold after all the action too, just don't think we're getting the right price to peel.
Title: Re: Backraise 66 Post by: gs08bjohnson on January 13, 2014, 04:17:18 AM Frankly, this is horrible. I can't see the opener, playing 35/5, ever folding to your jam. I can't see him having any hands you crush either. Whilst we are in position we have a hand that flops very poorly especially with the ptsr being so low. It's going to be almost impossible to make enough good decisions post flop. So we must fold to the jam.
I'm not sure i peel the open either unless everyone behind is extremely passive, most notably the big blind who is going to stick it in a pretty decent amount, but this is marginal and certainly wouldn't say it was bad. I would also never look to 3b this hand pre, the opener's range seems strong and it appears that it won't be easy to make him fold all that much. Title: Re: Backraise 66 Post by: Flash92 on January 15, 2014, 06:05:29 PM Thanks guys.
