Title: River decision vs Annette
Post by: MC on January 18, 2014, 01:16:25 PM
No history with her, about 5 hands into a satellite final table with 1 $10k seat, 2nd-4th get $1400, 5th gets $700

I struggled to put her on a value hand that makes much sense. I thought 55 made sense, but figured she might bet flop with that. A5, A8 maybe? QT would bet flop a lot I thought. But does she really check back flop and then bet turn/bomb river as a bluff? Going for thin value with Ax seems unlikely.

Expect her to bet flop with Ax for protection and value as your bb peel range is comprised heavily of Broadway's. Your also very capped when you Check turn (as you bet any Ax the vast vast majority), which also means our hand is very face up to mid pairs when we call (assuming you lead draws a good % on the turn). 55 makes sense although think she can also have hands such as KK QQ and bombs in an attempt to be 'hero called'. I think we should probably fold as doubt she bets this size with bluffs (1950 into 3810) isn't huge and we have a v good price to flick it in with our capped range).

trivial fold if playing well, your hand looks exactly what it is when you are so face up vs a good player you get exploited too much to call in these spots

would expect her to check back Ax a decent amount of the time otf.

as played, i wonder how bad shoving would be, slightly more attractive with qj i guess.
