Title: Last Minute Aussie Side (2.5k Shot clock 6-max)
Post by: MC on February 06, 2014, 09:55:44 PM
Typing on my phone so will be a bit light on details

2.5k 6-max shot clock, where you have 30 seconds to act, starts at 12.30 AUS time, or in about 4 hours.

15k starting stack. 30 min first 4 levels, 40 mins until final, 60 on final.

Making a late decision to play. I estimate 200ish runners looking at last years fields.

I'm not sure how this will factor softness wise given it is 6max and the shot clock stipulation. However I played the $1k Super KO on Weds which was approx the softest tourney I recall playing. On the other hand the main event didn't have too many donators that I came across.

If id organised myself a bit better id give preference tho those who invested in Main Event but with 4 hours to go I don't think I can really, sorry about that.

2500AUD*1.1 = 2750AUD

2750AUD = 2464USD

In 2.5% blocks up to 30% total for sale

2.5% = $61.60
5% = $123.20
10% = $246.40

Epitomised on Stars, no avatar

Happy to take XE £ rate via bank as well but too complicated to dick about on my phone.

Don't mind taking late payment from ppl I know.

Felt the mark up was a little rich for a field full of Australian poker players.

Fingers crossed

Sigh, I can't get enough money out to enter. Even went to local HSBC to try and sort it out. Was going to buy in online but didn't realise it had to be done 24 hrs in advance.

Unless I can try and nip someone in exchange for Stars $$$ but I've only seen 1 person I know here and feel like a bit of a dick asking.

:(

We have a possible out in Kevin Allen!

I'm assuming it's cool with everyone if we late reg by an hour. I've had a chance to look at the field and it seems ok to me. Blinds will be 100/200 15k starting.

Ffs lame start.

7 hands in, first hand played.

HJ opens, peel 55 on BTN, BB peels.

Q52ss. HJ bet, we call, BB call. Js turn. Checked to us, we bet. BB call. HJ fold. River Tc. We bet, called by Q7ss

Down to 8.5k.

6k at first break.

Bet flop and river BTN vs BB KQ68A with 79s and was called :(

150/300a going back so under pressure already but have my trusty 20bbs

Don't think I can do much differently on the 55 hand, kinda sigh to kick off with that.

Pile 20bbs for 2nd hand in a row. This time SB vs BTN. He decides to call with KTos. We have AK and hold.

Previously we survived a 17bb blind on blind spot A2 v A9 via a chop.

On 11.5k atm.

Open BTN with 33, SB peels, active BB rips 17bbs, we repile.

They have KJ and win.

5k which is 12bbs now.

Move tables. 3rd hand in UTG young guy opens his 3rd hand in a row. I jam my 8k with AQ and for some reason he uses most of his time before calling with 66. Felt pretty slow rolled there assumed I was getting it in better when he tanks.

345 flop wasn't pretty and we didn't get there :(

Was definitely plenty of value based on players I encountered. Happy with all my hands. Sigh to get gg'd in 3 hours as this was a bit of a shot for me.

Thanks for the investment. Wish I flipped better.
