I'm always beat though here surely. If cold4ber jammed I'd call, but min3b, 4b, i call then guy jams. How can i be good? Esp with our edge (despite being unable to 3x pre apparently) and payout structure? PokerStars Hand #112283492279: Tournament #865444176, 2000FPP Hold'em No Limit - Level III (25/50) - im just basically never folding queens or ak in any spot ever in this kind of tournament and just putting it down to a cooler and not wasting any time analysing it if im beat. that may be a bad way of thinking about it and/or poor logic, but just the way i see it personally. maybe it will lead to further discussion and it could be interesting Title: Re: QQ in that same bloody 20e sat Post by: rfgqqabc on February 23, 2014, 10:02:33 PM i mean i dont play satalites, but i just looked PokerStars Hand #112283492279: Tournament #865444176, 2000FPP Hold'em No Limit - Level III (25/50) - im just basically never folding queens or ak in any spot ever in this kind of tournament and just putting it down to a cooler and not wasting any time analysing it if im beat. that may be a bad way of thinking about it and/or poor logic, but just the way i see it personally. maybe it will lead to further discussion and it could be interesting Oh, its the exact same as the 20e one, just one has more seats I think. I play a decent amount of these sats on sunday and would like thoughts. People dont seem quite as punty in these from my limited experience. It just doesn't feel like a cooler. Title: Re: QQ in that same bloody 20e sat Post by: gs08bjohnson on February 24, 2014, 02:30:28 PM Think you can fold to the cold 4 and be reasonably happy, there are times you are folding the best hand but you are largely beat. It's probably very close equity wise and I think your edge will probably be bigger finding other spots, AK I'm always folding here to do anything else seems awful. Lets not forget this is a satellite.
Once you peel the cold 4 I don't think you can fold, even though their ranges just got stronger. You just have too much of your stack in the pot with too good a hand. |
