(http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7455/12986579923_6ea5219072_z.jpg) "Chris Moorman had surprisingly never won a major title before the World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic final table but he was still one of the most successful poker players of all time. He held close to $3 million in career live earnings and another $11 million online. Tonight in Los Angeles he booked his second million-dollar live cash and cemented his status as one of the all-time legends of British poker. Moorman topped a field of 534 players and he booked his first career title. Everyone in the poker world knew it was only a matter of time before this would happen, it was only a question of when and where. It is fitting that it came at one of the top tournaments on the WPT schedule. A marquee champion at a marquee event." http://www.worldpokertour.com/Live_Updates/Post.aspx (http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2755/12986865284_50096fc0b2_z.jpg) Title: Re: Funking for Moorman in the WPT LA Poker Classic Post by: DaveShoelace on March 07, 2014, 12:29:55 PM Real tribute to the lad that he had a big non-British support rail at the event. Mind you, I imagineany Brits out there would have been in a jail cell by the time he got heads-up

Feel like so many people dont appreciate how much Moorman done for them and they wouldn't be where they are now without him. care to elaborate Dave? over the years pretty sure he was staking (and prob coaching) a lot of the great british players that are getting the lot now. great result. plenty more where that came from . still wont be able to go back in time and get rid of that slightly disturbing photoshoot for lock poker though. Thanks so much for all of the support it still doesn't feel real! I didn't play my best on the final at all and almost blew it 4 handed. I saw the winning line way too early and the pressure of shipping a major tourney after being so close many times before really affected me. I forgot how to play poker for a whole level which included misreading my hand, misclicking and misplaying a few hands. Thankfully the break came just at the right time for me and with the help of my rail who provided me with some pep talks I managed to rally and come back and take it down. I'm over the moon right now and although it sounds cliche it really is a dream come true. Huge thanks once again to everyone who followed and supported me along the way.
