Title: Re: hi/lo players Post by: tikay on March 17, 2014, 07:10:56 AM I play PLO8 almost to the exclusion of other formats these days Iron, but I'm not really into "Skype groups" & that sort of stuff, sorry.
Hope it goes well though. I'm sure it will. I AM interesting in trying to improve my game, just not via a Skype Group. Title: Re: hi/lo players Post by: Ironside on March 17, 2014, 11:53:11 AM We can work on format of the learning tikay I just thought Skype groups was the trendy way forward,

I just don't want to add another platform by which "random" people can get hold of me. Texts, Twitter, e-Mails, phone calls, PM's, i-Pad Message, I have way too many already. I do have Skype, the Business people made me get it so I could do in-vision Skype calls to the Show, but that apart, its not for me. I mean in theory you have to accept everyone so there shouldn't be an issue. Title: Re: hi/lo players Post by: MintTrav on March 18, 2014, 08:38:54 AM I love playing hi/lo, though I've done very little theory on it and play mostly by instinct, so I'd probably be taking knowledge out rather than putting much in.
I'd particularly like to learn more about how others handle awkward situations, like when to call or fold with a non-nut hand for one side if you think he is likely to just have the other side. Title: Re: hi/lo players Post by: Doobs on March 18, 2014, 08:43:17 AM Is this the NLO8 hyper thread?

Title: Re: hi/lo players Post by: Doobs on March 19, 2014, 03:38:32 PM Anything hi/lo doobs not sure I have seen ant hi/lo hypers will have to keep an eye out There are loads in the sit and go lobby. They go from $1.50 right the way to $500. I think all the hypers are no limit. I have already mentioned this to Tikay, but they seem hugely popular; the volume in the hi/lo games is something like 10 times that in the equivalent straight Omaha games (at least at the levels I play). Given they have only been around for a year or so, their popularity astonishes me. If I play just $15s and $30s, I often find they open so quickly I just can't keep up. Title: Re: hi/lo players Post by: Ironside on March 21, 2014, 10:44:40 PM doobs i hate you
these games are so addictive but so fast i am struggling to work out how to play them gone through 200+ on a losing curve at the moment trying to work if its because i am playing too fast or variance |
