Title: 14 left 11r
Post by: lucky_scrote on March 24, 2014, 11:09:28 PM
I don't have the HH so I'll just recall it as best as I can.

14 left in the early $11r on Sunday. I'm 8/14 with 22 bigs. There's almost nothing between 7th and 14th (As a guess 15-25 bigs) where as the top 6 have more around 40-50bb's.

My table is nuts, it's a combination of decent regs and spazzy regs. UTG who is playing 25bb's min raises. I would go as far as saying this person is a terrible reg, not sure if he's a winner. Don't really care about that too much, but he's opening exploitably wide and doesn't seem to care about getting owned. His actual stats are raise first in of 41% and it's pretty steady across positions, just being slightly higher in BTN/SB spots.

We are on the button, and given the "in a vacuum" stats I know that I can play quite a few hands here, but I'm a little concerned that this bad reg has dribbled down to 25 bigs, has a few people to his left that have been bashing him up and that he now should be picking his spots more carefully.

So, you have KQo. Is this thread all nonsense and an easy jam? Is a 3b/fold reasonable? Open fold??? To now, my image is probably on the tighter side compared to the rest of the table, but I'm no rdcrson.

Yeh forgot to put that in OP, looking back on it I feel that might be the best line as I'm crushing his range.

Is jamming bad? I am sure it's going to be making a profit albeit not a large one. Perhaps a bit reckless at this stage?

If his rf is 41% then jamming isn't bad at all! Even if hes running normal stats 7 handed jamming is still gonna be +cEV.

Still like flat tho as;
- KQ flops well.
- People who are aggro pre are likely to be aggro post flop as well. Hes likely to barrel K / Q high boards as he, in theory should have a lot of good K / Q top pairs / overpairs in his range compared to our, in theory, capped amount of (however due to stats he's running this wont be the case).
- We can raise / commit when we flop a draw. If he's opening joke wide then hes more likely to be FOS when cbetting when we flop draws, meaning we then gain raise pre + cbet chips a high % when he folds, otherwise are likely to have v good equity for a near chiplead stack - whereas if we jam we only gain the raise + blinds / antes (if he folds).
...etc.

I agree with all of this and it's how I look at it too so I'm happy about that. Wish I'd taken that line, I might not have stacked off as he had dem aces and it questioned myself whether he's opening wide in that spot. It would be a really bad spot for him to open wide but nothing had stopped him on the previous 20 orbits.

100% serious.  guys rfi is 41% and hes getting tilted. just 3bet to 4bb and watch him jam heaps we dominate, and peel and c/f a good number of flops.

seems like a standard call? although any option is probably good v him with a hand this strong, bar fold
