Title: NLO8 Post by: Ironside on April 16, 2014, 08:31:00 PM i got an awkward of 12 bigs
didnt feel the hand was strong enough to shove as 9/10 i am getting the limpers calling once the big blind has shoved and the EP limpers have called shove i be calling this there are about 80 players left 54 get paid and i am about 50th as you can see from hands shown people are playing very loose http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/8510702_485E231544 Title: Re: NLO8 Post by: Doobs on April 16, 2014, 08:36:29 PM i got an awkward of 12 bigs didnt feel the hand was strong enough to shove as 9/10 i am getting the limpers calling once the big blind has shoved and the EP limpers have called shove i be calling this there are about 80 players left 54 get paid and i am about 50th as you can see from hands shown people are playing very loose http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/8510702_485E231544 Think it is a definite shove pre first time it comes to you, and can't see why you folded it coming back. You have A2 with one off the best kicker possible for the ace. I'd much prefer this hand to a bad AA hand. Think this all looks bad to me, sorry. Title: Re: NLO8 Post by: mulhuzz on April 16, 2014, 08:43:16 PM I think jam is best pre.
Once 97 other players have flicked it in I think I prolly just call as well and hope not to be up against the very few combos of AA23/4 which have us in considerable pain and hope to make some flushes. That said if there were only one caller of the shove I'd prolly fold if I'd limped. Defo just pile over limpers IMO in a $2r Title: Re: NLO8 Post by: Ironside on April 16, 2014, 08:45:11 PM i got an awkward of 12 bigs didnt feel the hand was strong enough to shove as 9/10 i am getting the limpers calling once the big blind has shoved and the EP limpers have called shove i be calling this there are about 80 players left 54 get paid and i am about 50th as you can see from hands shown people are playing very loose http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/8510702_485E231544 Think it is a definite shove pre first time it comes to you, and can't see why you folded it coming back. I really don't like limping with these hands, bet or fold. We have A-Q, A-2, and a suited ace. We can rarely be in terrible shape here, unless we run into Aces, even then we are far from dead. Title: Re: NLO8 Post by: Ironside on April 16, 2014, 09:06:11 PM just a little gun shy was getting scared to get my chips in
lucky i solved that now had power cut so jumped on my ipad played these 2 hands http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/8511672_A1F4DFD9BC http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/8511678_1BBACDCC48 got back on my pc to bust Title: Re: NLO8 Post by: rfgqqabc on April 16, 2014, 09:08:29 PM People limp/fold too in these comps, 100% shove pre. I'd call after limping too.
Shove > Limp >>> raise small >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> fold pre imo. Can't work out who you are in 2nd set of hands. Btw, I much much prefer actual hand histories despite it being easier to see stack sizes just because I don't want results to affect the answers in the thread. Title: Re: NLO8 Post by: mulhuzz on April 16, 2014, 09:16:48 PM Adam - assume you're doing a raise call if you raise aye?

It'd be like r/fing AKs. Title: Re: NLO8 Post by: Ironside on April 16, 2014, 09:32:03 PM does the fact your approaching bubble mean anything after all its 11 buy ins for a min cash
i have pure bubbled and a few close to bubbles this weak in cold decks Title: Re: NLO8 Post by: tikay on April 16, 2014, 09:36:36 PM does the fact your approaching bubble mean anything after all its 11 buy ins for a min cash i have pure bubbled and a few close to bubbles this weak in cold decks All the more reason to get aggro. No room for subtlety here, get it in. Limping is just terrible, imo. I'd pretty much ignore it until it really begins to come into effect. Tightening up too early will lead to both itm% decreasing and a lower roi overall. This is slightly different too a standard tournament where tightening up too early might mean you limp into the money a lot more, but have a lower roi. The rapidly changing blinds are fatal. Interestingly, I think a lot of the roi in these events (not in particular the o8 3x turbos but just 3x turbos) comes from playing the rebuy period correctly, and I'm not sure people do it at all well. Just make sure you always make the addon.
