Okay so granted it should be a fold pre and the flop decision is questionable, but are we calling the river? Title: Re: They call me the butcherer.... Post by: BorntoBubble on April 20, 2014, 09:01:29 PM what is the river. Answer is probably no though whatever. K or 10 i guess

River is the Td Title: Re: They call me the butcherer.... Post by: George2Loose on April 20, 2014, 09:44:34 PM Don't fuck with Chris Brammer. Main lesson of this PHA
Title: Re: They call me the butcherer.... Post by: cambridgealex on April 21, 2014, 12:37:38 AM Combos we beat - AK - 6 combos
Combos beat us AQ, 99, QQ, TT - 15 combos Getting almost 3:1 on a call you can't fold when you beat AK, he simply doesn't have enough combos of value hands. You could throw in some A9s, ATs, and say he might not shove AK, but then you could argue he folds the flop with QQ/TT and also might shove AJ for thin value. So on balance, I'm calling the river. Which is irrelevant because you just shouldn't be getting yourself into this spot with that silly flop raise! Sorry to say Gorgeous Gary but imo it's not a good play :D Title: Re: They call me the butcherer.... Post by: stato_1 on April 21, 2014, 01:18:11 AM pre and flop are pretty disastrous imo, by far the most important things for you to fix in this hand
Title: Re: They call me the butcherer.... Post by: pleno1 on April 21, 2014, 03:15:51 AM Love it.
Very well played IMO. If you folded river. Title: Re: They call me the butcherer.... Post by: TL900 on April 21, 2014, 03:29:43 AM :D
Title: Re: They call me the butcherer.... Post by: pleno1 on April 21, 2014, 04:25:30 AM oh i didnt see stack sizes. if he assumes youre a total random (uk unknown to him perhaps) then flop will work alot.
pre is probably abit loose sure, especially in a turbo. in a reg speed tourny a tiny bit deeper i think flatting is ok. Title: Re: They call me the butcherer.... Post by: pleno1 on April 21, 2014, 04:27:57 AM i basically disregarded stack sizes and was saying the flop play vs a good player with the image of an unknown is gonna be pretty successful its super cheap and hes going to fold alot. but again like i said, disregarded stack sizes because im grinding (in before 4am sunday grind brag :D)
Title: Re: They call me the butcherer.... Post by: Derbylad on April 21, 2014, 05:43:11 PM pre and flop are pretty disastrous imo, by far the most important things for you to fix in this hand Preflop i completely agree and it's far too loose in a reg filled turbo, that being said I didn't realise it was Brammer at first with the multi-tabling. I don't think my flop play is that terrible though for the same as Pleno's reasoning... I'm assuming i'm UK Unknown to him. UK Green label now obviously ;) oh i didnt see stack sizes. if he assumes youre a total random (uk unknown to him perhaps) then flop will work alot. Had to call the river for the same debate Alex made and was shown AQ. |
