DTD Deepstack players, the £250 June Deepstack details are on this link http://www.dusktilldawncasinonottingham.com/news/250-deepstack/2425 and I have attached is a JPEG of the schedule with this post. If you play at DTD, please take a few minutes to read these points;

1. We will only be doing one £250 event per month for the rest of 2014, allowing us to focus on Sky 6-Max and WPT festivals. I realise this may disappoint some of our weekend £250 players and also our £500 Deepstack players, but we will try and make the monthly £250 Deepstack as big as possible, so you get one massive event a month rather than 4 smaller ones.

2. Whilst we are entering the Summer/WSOP slow period, we want to get players used to a format that is 'scaleable' into an even bigger monthly £250 Deepstack than £150,000 GTD, a guarantee which we hope to be able keep in June/July and August, despite entering the worst period of the calender. Thereafter, it would be great to have developed our monthly £250 Deepstack format into an event that is capable of delivering £250,000 GTD - 1000 entries.

3. To have a chance of building to 1000 entries and a £250K GTE, the £250 Deepstack needs to be attractive to the widest possible poker audience.The addition of earlier 1pm flights on Friday and Saturday for those travelling players who want to get back home, rather than spend money on hotels is just as important as offering later flight options for those players who prefer to spend Saturday afternoons with their family or at football etc. Over the last couple of years, we have noticed Friday Day 1's becoming more and more popular to be fair.

4. I have received so much positive feedback since we changed the structure to 50K chips starting at 100-200 25 ante, the average BB remains at 50+ over the course of the tournament, even before the final table bubble. I am keen to keep that, although Day 1's need to play 12 levels rather than 10, and Day 2 needs to start at 12pm rather than 1pm, this is necessary to accommodate such a great structure over 2 days with 600-1000 players.

5. As Rob has said, we don't want any buy-ins above £250 outside of major festivals, the GUKPT/GPS/UKIPT UK Tour market is very congested and we are better focusing on bigger festival events that competing with these £400-£1000 3--4 day tour tournaments.

Our £250 Deepstack is aimed at the masses, and in particular, those that cannot afford time off work but still love their poker. In a nutshell, we want to have one huge event per month instead of a number of smaller events and provide as many opportunities for the recreational poker player to participate in our major festivals.

What's going to be a standard week at dtd now then outside of the first weekend of the month's £250 deepstack?  Similar to events this week with giant 30xl's at the weekends apart from the first weekend of the month?

A new schedule for weeks outside of £250 Deepstacks will start 1st June, but for the 3 weeks after UKIPT, we are keeping things small.

I have checked the hendon mob for updates on my player profile, having come 6th in the last 250 deepstack ukipt warmup on the 4th May.   They are not able to publish the results as it not been formated at dtd properly???
I have checked dtd site results, it shows the results but not the payouts..... is that the issue??  can this be ammended. thanks.

I've been thinking of coming to this but am unsure of a few things and would be grateful if someone could answer a couple of questions (sorry if the answers are obvious but I'm relatively new, if that can be an excuse)

Can I just turn up for registration on Friday and enter the tournament?

How does the prize structure work, I'd much rather be playing for cash rather than seats to another tournament or are the tournament seats in addition to the prize pool?

The 50 x £1100 UKPC Six max seats are part of the GTE not additional to it. £100,000 of the GTE (or more if the event goes over GTE as the last one did) paid out as normal, the rest to the top 50 finishers..seats into a £500,000 event

Rich, apologies if it's posted earlier in the thread - but how many levels will be played on Day1 now, and so what are the expected finish times for the 1pm and 6pm Day1 flights?

So 12 levels at 40 minutes plus 3 20 minute breaks = 540 minutes per flight, or 9 hours

so 1pm finishing at 10pm

6pm finishing at 3pm

(my estimate)


the last £250 made £221,000+ and was a v v v late finish and the stated aim of this one, with more levles day one and an earlier start day 2 is to finish at a reasonable time, midnight Sunday

Going to be playing this on Saturday will also be my first deepstack I've played at DTD. I have played a few tournaments and quite abit of cash recently so I'm feeling ready. This is my second biggest buyin event I've ever played, biggest being the UKIPT Nottingham which I satellited into also.

Hopefully I get a nice score so I can continue to play these tournaments, I plan on looking at selling some action is later tournaments :) Not sure if this is a good place for my first post but wasn't really sure where to post first so this seems like a good start will update this if first day goes any good.

In 7 years I can't remember the last time I missed a DTD monthly Deepstack. Keeping the £150K GTD with 50 x Sky 6 Max Seats is a massive gamble in July and I recommended that we reduced it, but the boys back home have chose not to. Just got this online satellite tree from Nicola Dusktilldawn , with a massive 200 x £250 seats GTD over 4 x 50 seater Mega Sats, starting Sunday 1st July.

Even the Penny rolls and £5 feeders are 50 seats GTD, giving every bankroll a big shot. 1st Prize for the £250 Deepstack is guaranteed at £20,000 plus a £1K seat, this is such good value for players, our previous Deepstacks were £550 buy-in, lets hope we get the numbers again.

If we can beat these numbers in the worst period of year, June and July,I am sure Robert Yong will be looking to push the boat out in September's Deepstack as per his blog.

I really hope these get the direct buy ins to be able to run but if the feeders don't make it I'm afraid they won't.

All you value hunters out there who don't have time for the penny rolls you need to reg them anyway to give the semi-final and final a chance to run. If the penny roll had ran tonight then the semi was almost guaranteed to run and hence the final will run which is where you want to be.

The 9 oclock semi only showing 30 seats guaranteed in the prize info,  the description still shows it as a 50 seat. Presume this is just a typo but thought I point it out in case it causes probs when the game starts or messes the bubble up etc. Cheers

Well it looks like 30 seats GTD, which is why it could start with 38

Nicola's fb messages 10 minutes before the off said 30.

My point was it says 30 on the prize info but 50 in the tourney details as mentioned before so I was inclined to believe it was 50 cos that's what has been mentioned mostly. Because of these contradictions I was just seeking clarification... apologies H if that was not clear  :)

Shame when you win a £25 token in the late turbo u are auto reg'd for tomorrow night's sat when i wanted to just carry on and have the option to late reg tonight's £25 and get it done in one night.  Pretty frustrating.  Esp as you have to play from the start when the optimal strat is to buy in at the add on break.  I have ended up having to buy in anyway now for tonight's late reg when i got a token sitting there that is fixed in place for tomorrow night when i can't play.

Good god... is it really a problem that I mentioned it might of been a typo or whatever?  I was merely trying to highlight that there was a contradiction in the lobby and with good intentions in order to avoid any probs or confusion that may occur because of it... once again I apologise if my description was not quite correct.

there were 50 seats gtd in the main sat and 30 seats gtd in the £5 feeder into the main 50 seat sat. I think that's the confusion that's occurring here.

Hi guys,

As you can imagine this is extremely busy week for us and we are trying to prioritise getting as many people in where we can. We made the decision to drop it last night to 30 seats otherwise it simply would not have ran. As soon as our feeders and MEGA SATS don't run players instantly come back with 'If you drop the guarantee and runners then it will.' Nicola did this last night to ensure the £5 Semi ran and the same with the later one.

Regarding the direct feeds/tokens we have resolved this as well. After the update there was an issue with direct feeds meaning we simply couldn't run them and opted for tokens instead. This has now been fixed and the sats will run direct.

6pm (Penny) > 7pm (Semi) > 9pm (Final) will flow for one night.
Then 8pm (Penny) > 9pm (Semi) > 9pm Next Day Final.

We will be amending the SAT tree's ASAP and apologise for any confusion.

Im not going to get to DTD till 7pm ish. My question willl be stack be in play at 6pm or will i be seated with 50k upon arrival.

Looks like the overlay has dropped a little bit but still not great considering all the effort and fantastic giveaways that have been dished out.

I wasn't planning on playing today but seeing as I've taken advantage of a lot of the great value sats this week I'm going to do my bit and try to get there before the end of late reg.

Really hope a few more get there before 10.40pm to reduce the overlay a bit more.

I hope people realise that it's not just the 20k or so from the actual tournament that's an overlay. Most of the sats were overlaying as well so for each 250 that appears to be in the pot I would think a minimum of £50 has been put in by DTD.

Let's hope that people appreciate what DTD are trying to do for them particularly the 300 or so of the 600 who played the 1p "loyalty" freeroll having not played any of the other sats.....

You know who you are...... Put your hands in your pockets and maybe play some of the £5 sats!!! It won't kill you!!!

I've had my differences with DTD in the past and will always speak my mind when I think something isn't right but they really deserve thanks for comps like this where they take such huge risks.

Let's hope it can continue because a lot of people really don't appreciate what they've got until it's gone.......

Hard to put it any better than this.  I played every £25 sat this week (with the 50 seat giveaway 1p sat and just the overlays from the 4 50 seat nightly £25 sats) i would estimate roughly £30k was lost/given away on overlays on those 5 sats alone.  I find it hard to understand why anyone would have travelled to cardiff to play the twice as expensive/1 extra day to play/50% lower gtd gukpt main over this??

Interesting, we'll see what my stack size is when I arrive then haha.
