Title: PLO Hi Lo - 15 left Post by: Rubbish2407 on June 08, 2014, 08:44:34 AM First time I've posted on here, please take it easy on me.
This hands been bugging me for a while so thought I would post here to see if people think I butchered it or did the right thing? Fifteen left, in the money, coasting along nicely. At this point I'm third in chips. Vincentka had been getting it in with any four and the previous hand I had doubled through him with nut low and a full house against his 2nd nut low and no high. 22shark22 had been quite aggro but tightened up once we hit the money. Either that or he had gone extremely card dead. I actually tanked for quite some time before folding which is unlike me. I normally insta call or fold but both of them going all in slightly threw me and I eventually decided I was miles behind at least one of them. *********** # 211 ************** PokerStars Hand #117150444046: Tournament #918225565, $3.00+$0.30 USD Omaha Hi/Lo Pot Limit - Level XXIV (2000/4000) - 2014/06/05 15:03:00 ET Table '918225565 7' 9-max Seat #6 is the button Seat 1: Matuks (76169 in chips) Seat 2: chumpster124 (85848 in chips) Seat 3: Markomanne (63446 in chips) Seat 4: tibhar74 (50930 in chips) Seat 5: krafroad (126970 in chips) Seat 6: Mraz2211 (54265 in chips) Seat 7: 22shark22 (30244 in chips) Seat 8: Vincentka (23174 in chips) 22shark22: posts small blind 2000 Vincentka: posts big blind 4000 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to chumpster124 [Ks Ad Kc Jc] Matuks: folds chumpster124: raises 8000 to 12000 Markomanne: folds tibhar74: folds krafroad has timed out krafroad: folds krafroad is sitting out Mraz2211: folds krafroad has returned 22shark22: raises 18244 to 30244 and is all-in Vincentka: calls 19174 and is all-in chumpster124: folds Uncalled bet (7070) returned to 22shark22 *** FLOP *** [7d 7c 9s] *** TURN *** [7d 7c 9s] [9d] *** RIVER *** [7d 7c 9s 9d] [Kd] *** SHOW DOWN *** 22shark22: shows [4c Ah 2h Kh] (HI: two pair, Kings and Nines) Vincentka: shows [Qh Ac Qs 7h] (HI: three of a kind, Sevens) Vincentka collected 58348 from pot No low hand qualified *** SUMMARY *** Total pot 58348 | Rake 0 Board [7d 7c 9s 9d Kd] Seat 1: Matuks folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 2: chumpster124 folded before Flop Seat 3: Markomanne folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 4: tibhar74 folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 5: krafroad folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 6: Mraz2211 (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet) Seat 7: 22shark22 (small blind) showed [4c Ah 2h Kh] and lost with HI: two pair, Kings and Nines Seat 8: Vincentka (big blind) showed [Qh Ac Qs 7h] and won (58348) with HI: three of a kind, Sevens Any thoughts greatly appreciated. Happens though, sure Adam will give a more precise opinion.
Also 3x pre seems not right to me, I min click open, but sure some fancy 8745 or something is what the kids do Title: Re: PLO Hi Lo - 15 left Post by: Doobs on June 08, 2014, 09:05:01 AM You just can't fold any hand here given these odds. If an 80k stack managed to get it in it is nasty, and think you have to fold.
Not sure I like this hand much from early position. Looks very pretty, but you are likely playing out of position to a hand that is favourite against you. You get a call and 2 small cards come on the flop and what do you do? [though if they only had 30k total before the hand it should be easy enough!]. That is going to happen more often than not. Would be good to here Adam's thoughts on this hand in general. I know Tikay likes his possible scoop hands. But definitely calling the extra 18k once I have raised here. Title: Re: PLO Hi Lo - 15 left Post by: Doobs on June 08, 2014, 09:40:09 AM Don't think the size of the comp is an issue, it is a call at any level. You play the 500 some of them spanner it in with all sorts of comedy hands.

Assayed, call the 18, stack of on favorable flops. Title: Re: PLO Hi Lo - 15 left Post by: Doobs on June 08, 2014, 11:55:50 AM Limp pre Assayed, call the 18, stack of on favorable flops. Adam gone away and let you back on the account? The other two are all in, so think we stack off regardless. Limping might be good, but I just assume everybody goes nuts if we do; too many NLO8 hypers for me. Title: Re: PLO Hi Lo - 15 left Post by: rfgqqabc on June 08, 2014, 12:34:26 PM Don't like the limp in a 3$ comp when the blinds are both so short.
If I open, I open to min. I think I min and call off the blinds. I'd rather not limp and risk going multiway (so late on with weird stack to pot ratios). Open raising lots is good, it can be quite hard to find a hand to fight back with and people don't handle aggression well. You'll find late on in these if you have a stack you can keep up the pressure until someone snaps, check/raising huge with just a weak low or something as equally poor.
