Post by: RED-DOG on June 10, 2014, 06:03:52 PM
Are apparently updating their software this evening, but everyone seems to be registering for MTTs as usual.

Any info?

OK. I can remember my password but I asked support to change it anyway just in case I was wrong.

I've re installed the software.

I still can't log in with the new password.

I'm not in a rush. I'll try again tomorrow.

i gather that if people can't deposit (problems being reported) nick will put tokens on to allow you to buy in to the online day 1

nwhiten@dtdpoker.com to arrange

Very tempted to again ask when DtD will decide that Ipoker is a complete waste of time and find a better host for their poker site? Ipoker must be costing DtD a fair bit of money by now, and certainly creating a lot of player frustration due to a frankly terrible set up on Ipoker's part.

Well if it was me, and I wasn't in possession of all the relevant facts or there was a chance of harming my local club's business by dissing their poker site, I would either keep quiet, or ask the question privately in the club. You'll find that Rob and his staff are very receptive to that type of approach.

I certainly wouldn't post it on a public forum.

If my local club's business was susceptible to harm due to one person voicing his frustrations on a public forum, I would wonder how any business was able to continue to function. The very nature of the internet enables people to voice their opinions, and since I am in absolutely no way connected to the business of DtD except as a patron, I see no way in which my opinion should negatively impact their business. Frankly, I'm also slightly insulted by the notion that I would attempt to harm the business of Dtd, since it has given me so much and since I spend so much time there. As for factual information, the issues being reported are certainly factual. I, for one, would very much like to be able to play on the DtD site, but am unable to do so.

I would have thought a public forum would be an ideal place to post such a comment. I am aware that Dtd staff, as well as Rob and Simon, frequently view this site. I am aware they listen to, and often react to, the views of the members of blonde. However, I highly doubt their business will suffer a negative impact that is outside of their control as a result of my posting. I would have also thought that, as I at least used to be a regular patron of the business, the fact that I'm not in possession of financial balance sheets etc is irrelevant. I am a customer. I have seen problems which are affecting my ability to use the service provided in a way which is completely transparent. I am voicing my concerns. A public forum wouldn't be very public if the only people able to use it were the people who knew absolutely everything about whatever it was they were writing about.

I'm sorry Matt, I don't deliberately set out to have a pop at you, it's just that we often seem to have opposite ends of the stick.

No offence.   :-*

I do however think  that an English student could couch a complaint in better terms than "Ipoker is a complete waste of time".

And... You did ask for my opinion.

Hi Guys

Firstly I can completely understand your frustration with the recent software issues - I was away all of last week and oblivious to it and am still in the office now trying to resolve things from tonight so feel the pain of all players and all DTD staff who have put in many extra hours last week to help resolve it.

There is no instant fix which DTD can implement for all issues so we have to be as patient as the players while trying to resolve any issues and as an apology for all of this we have added 5 x £125 seats every night in a 7pm Freeroll for those of you who are now able to log in to play, we have set them up for the whole week to ensure all players have time to re-gain access to their accounts.

Main Issues and how to resolve

- The software will not remember your details after the update so if you had 'remember me' and don't know your password then simply click on chat now on the log in page and we can instantly sort for you.
- You may be asked for your username - this is your GQR number which is sent on emails so check back your emails and you can find it or contact support via chat now and we can confirm after security checks.
- Deposit issues - we need iPoker to investigate most of these so please be patient however we can sort an alternative so please email me nicola@dtdpoker.com and I will sort for you if you have an ongoing deposit issues until they can be resolved.
- Restricted tournaments - please report these as we may just need to tweak your account to allow you to register. Could be an issue for re-entries even after you have played.

Remember support are on hand until midnight and you can email myself Nicola@dtdpoker.com or Glenn@dtdpoker.com morning, noon or night so we'll do everything we can :)

Thanks for your patience everyone.

Thanks Nicola

P.S. Be thankful you only have to sort once and not 1,000 times (per day) lol :)
