Title: Been getting a bit of stick for this hand! Post by: shipitgood on June 22, 2014, 08:14:36 PM Villian in question is aggro bad, so this is what happened... I have 100bb(20nl) at the start of the hand villain has me covered
We have Qd Qh in the big blind UTG Limps, Cut off limps, sb makes up. I bump it up to £1.40, UTG/ Cut off call, sb folds. Pot is a fiver Flop; 6s Tc 4d I bet £3.75. UTG folds cut off calls. Pot is £12.50 we have £14 behind. Should have maybe went a bit bigger on the flop. Turn is Ahrt I check, villain bets £4.80, we jam in our £12.50. Thoughts on the hand? *I'm not worried about the ace, I checked to let him bet and was always jamming, don't see him having an ace here to often. Most people are like call the turn bet, but that only leaves me a 30% pot bet behind. Thoughts everyone ? Cheers Title: Re: Been getting a bit of stick for this hand! Post by: SuuPRlim on June 22, 2014, 10:15:56 PM no merit to just calling? If we're confident he doesn't have an ace then our hand is likely good or we have 2 - 8 outs.
If he's bluffing then he might not bluff the river, but defo wont call our turn jam (so we give him a chance to bluff at least) if we are ahead of him here then the most outs he can have is 8 (75 or 97) KQ has 7 outs, and KJ has 5 so nothing really to protect against, and ofc the other added benefit is if he has A3 or A9 or something then (albeit it's not that likely) but there is defo a small chance he checks the river back and lets us off £8 we should prolly lose. To me, if we're confident our hand is good then that's the better way to play it here. On a side note I'd be pretty worried about this pot sized bet on a card which shouldn't be any better for him than us... Title: Re: Been getting a bit of stick for this hand!
