hiya, first staking thread here so will try to be thorough, feel free to ask questions

i'm rob hallworth from bristol, willrobrobu on stars. i'm a part time recreational MTT player (as in i have a fulltime job as a veterinary surgeon that pays better than poker has for me so far).
despite being a hobby i get a decent volume in and am a winning player, with over 15k MTTs under my belt in last 4 years w 95%ish of my games played on stars -

ONLINE have spent two years as a supernova, had a quiet year last year due to travelling a lot and other commitments, but back on track for supernova this year.
Here's my NLHE stars graph alltime. i've filtered out 1k+ buyins as i've only played about 20 of those and they skew the results somewhat. also taken SNGs out as i lost a bit playing these a while back (hypers primarily) and almost never play them now.

LIVE i don't play much. before this year i had played 2 UKIPTs, 1 APPT and a few local tournies without much success. in the APPT macau lost AA v KK aipf for a top ten stack approaching the money, he made quads FML. nanonoko/randy lew went on to win the half milly first prize.
got my first live win this year in a £55 240 field APAT event and came 4th in the sky 6max £500er for £11k+ from a sizable field.

3. fri 15/sat 16th aug turbo £500 (if not still in main event)
4. sun 17th aug hyperturbo £500 (if not in main event or the turbo day 2)

these events are reentry and i would like to allow myself the chance to reenter the main OR 2day turbo once but not the highroller and the hyperturbo as i'd hate to reenter on my own money and bink off the BAP. allow £1k for this.

worst two levels so far. had two premiums and lost w both ,  then every other hand seemed to include an off suit 2 or 3.

bust Brammer last level, 3b JJ in position, he flats off relatively shortstack. jack high flop. I bet third of pot as I might w ak he ships with j8cc. had 170k, moved to a new table where I'm prob shortest stack (avg 130k). played about three hands one of which I lost w ak in a 3 way 3b pot.
finished 150k, a little above avg ?22 left

only know 1 guy on new table and they all appear to have  more chips than me so should be interesting tomorrow

had a bad time 4 handed, got as low as 260k, went 6 handed w 12 left and immediately bust a shorty 99 v 77 aipf. think he was blonde staker on here so sry mate!

No worries.  I had a truely horrible hour with 10 hands in a row less than 8 high off suit and we were the only 4 handed table.  I was just getting chewed up.  I couldn't fold 77 was just unlucky you had better.   GL you played a really solid game.

came 7th for 7k, was very gutted.
played well until last 8 when I got pretty hamstrung.  made final table as one of three relative shortstacks but still had 30bigs, avg 60-odd. dave shallow had almost half chips in play at one point so laddering opportunities were immense so I decided to fold to 3bets in a couple of spots id normally 4b. meant I dribbled, a bit while 2 laddering opportunities were missed w a2 beating AQ aipf and ak rivering 2 pair to counterfeit 66. this left me as shorty w 20 bb which I shipped over a Craig mcC open and a recs flat, he had been flatting lots of raises so was more worried about Craig, who tank folded for the rec to call w QQ. queen on flop, sigh

bap guaranteed a miniscule profit whatever happens, and I got 70 leaderboard points. cos of leaderboard points made sense to flick in PLO which I late regged and bust 29th or 30th out of 96. had double avg stack and defended bb v uber aggro monster stack w akq6 rainbow. I repotted his flop Bet on qq9, he called. ten turn bringing a fd, I have ace of this suit but that means nothing v this guy. he checks I just under pot bet allin he calls w jjt9 w flush draw., I'm 60/40 here for a 3.5x avg pot, not too far from money, was in better shape on flop obvs. he rivers 8 and I'm a goner

up to 75k from 50k first lvl, mostly taken off lucky scrote w backdoor flush. 150/300 now level 2. table awesomeeeee except for dan to my direct right

had over 100k at first break and was prob early chippie from current field of 80 runners

llost 15k straight after break v worst player at table donking out from blinds w flopped set only to get gutshotted by his str8. shoulda folded v his big river bet but couldn't bring myself to. 90k at 200/400

90k second break avg 70, 99 entries so far today. 300/600 next. mr Lewis joined the table and near doubled w quad aces v tens full on about his third hand

dire 2 hours/levels after third table move. amazing table but just running awfully. had AQ and AJ more times than I care to remember yet not won a single pot at showdown v smorgasbord of junk. 53k, avg 100k. 600/1200 next and will be looking to chip up. 2 levels left today. 108 ppl entered

grinded back up to 80k, then at 800/1600 last level of day raised a5dd. both blinds defend. both call a cbet on 24q, turn is a 3. the chips go in and his 56 beats my a5, down to 20 k. got two shoves through then got a full double back to 60k w 89 bb defence vs a6 on a88j

bust 15mins from end of day, KK v aa of shorty then AKs v 34o bb defence, despite my minraise off 18bb UTG.

it's been super soft but just ran bad second half of day unfortunately

taking second bullet today as is going to be even softer than yesterday, expecting a field of 300+, over half of which are qualifiers live/online - KO 12 again. .updates to follow

shocking start to day 1 today, hopefully will be a reversal if tomorrow where I run good in second half of day. lost twice w KK, once w QQ, once w 2 pair v top set, only hand I recall winning at showdown was w 79o. got some nits on my table, one young guy seems solid - he donked out and three barrelled on j932t and I folded KK to half pot river bet. figured I only beat AThh/TQhh from his sb donking range. anyone else at the table i'd have played it different.

down to 10 bigs at 2nd break. laggy guy on my left just kept owning me. 66 on button raised off 25bb he defends sb w k7dd -on a99dd he calls 2 streets. 8d river we both check. next orbit I have 66 again -in sb this time,I raise, he calls and wins again w a very slow played 73o on 73t72. he didn't bet until river with an overbet to which I folded. left me w 12 bb, folded down to 8bb then got 2 king high shoves through. needing a miracle now, but u never know

shoved crap and got a walk, shoved jacks next hand and got a walk. then folded 77 from bb v raise and 3b from tightest two players at table ( hands were JJ and probably AQ).  last had folded to my sb, I shoved j9, mr 73o calls w q7 and q high holds . 2 turbos left now

first break of 500 turbo had 65k from 50 starting. lost a huge pot at 400/800 defended AJss bb from female buttons open and c/c 3 bets on jT8A8. she had TT. only small bet was river so I felt I had to call it in case she was betting worse aces. think I could have folded to a bigger bet. probably.

down to 20-odd thousand I backdoored nut flush vs tamer and a random and am now up to almost start stack at 500/1000

dropped some more then doubled through stu Rutter 55 v ak and then KO'ed the lady w KK v AJ. up to 100k at 800/1600, avg 95k
