Title: RIP Robin Williams Post by: Sheriff Fatman on August 12, 2014, 12:54:46 AM Being reported as a suspected suicide.
A brilliant stand-up comedian, comedic actor and also a superb actor in serious roles. He battled addictions in his early days, but this news still comes as a massive shock. The speed of his brain is something alternative comedy will sorely miss. Title: Re: RIP Robin Williams Post by: Waz1892 on August 12, 2014, 02:35:54 AM Really shocked at this. RIP.

Gutted Rip Robin Title: Re: RIP Robin Williams Post by: DaveShoelace on August 12, 2014, 08:24:33 AM He was either annoying or amazing, which is probably a sign of a genius really.
I know everyone will say 'Dead Poets' or 'Good Will Hunting' in tribute, but One Hour Photo is one of the most chilling films I've ever seen and he was brilliant in it. It was so good i went back and watched the same show the next evening 5 hours in total of completely original material superb Title: Re: RIP Robin Williams Post by: kinboshi on August 12, 2014, 09:48:54 AM Very sad.
Just shows the difference between the public face and private suffering for people with depression. The tears of a clown. Title: Re: RIP Robin Williams Post by: shipitgood on August 12, 2014, 06:57:59 PM Sad times
Total legend and one of the funniest guys ever. Comic genius Title: Re: RIP Robin Williams Post by: bobby1 on August 12, 2014, 07:04:00 PM Sad times Total legend and one of the funniest guys ever. Comic genius +1 to this but also a tremendous serious actor too, Good will hunting and especially (for me) Dead Poets society were very good. I remember welling up seeing this scene in a cinema and it was the first thing I thought of when seeing the news of his death. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS1esgRV4Rc Title: Re: RIP Robin Williams Post by: Karabiner on August 12, 2014, 10:06:16 PM Absolutely gutted to hear about Robin Williams RIP.
I loved that man's work. My favourite quote of his about his addiction problems were that he "took cocaine to slow down" which is possibly only amusing to those that have been there, so those of you that haven't will just have to trust me on that one. The news was made even worse by the fact that I originally thought it was Robbie. Title: Re: RIP Robin Williams Post by: china mug on August 23, 2014, 07:44:52 PM as a gauge of how well a person is liked ,appreciated, loved, respected or held in high regard for the conntent of there lives and what they gave to there fellow man our very mortal way to show this is to make a film about there life story....no dout some holywood producers have it in hand as a project for the future......
big shoes for some actor to do justice to in this case..... |
