Title: Website Optimization - Search Engines etc
Post by: BorntoBubble on September 08, 2014, 03:04:27 AM
Hi Blonde, HELP!

Currently im working on website optimization for two of our family businesses. One seems to be going ok, the other no so much. In that when I type in related words into Google on is coming generally in the top 5 and the other is no where to be seen!

What im looking for is some help, im trying to learn on the go and have had some guidance from our website designers but when in need i thought I would come to the people of blonde for help.

We are active (trying to do more) on relevant social media sites etc also. Ive heard the mroe up to date, the more activity the better for google as well? Is this right?

HELP!

Sometimes the "freshness" of the content is important, but it depends on the nature of the search. There are many searches where this isn't a major factor. Google's algorithm uses hundreds of factors to determine how it displays its results.

If one of your sites isn't ranking at all, then that would suggest something more fundamental than how fresh the content is.

Drop me a pm with the URLs, a and I'll have a quick look for you.
