Title: Market Research - Quick Help
Post by: scotty2hatty on September 09, 2014, 12:39:17 PM
I'm preparing a SWOT analysis/completing some market research and I hope you can answer the following questions (please give reasoning if you have time, no problem if not). Need this information by tomorrow early afternoon so it is much appreciated if anyone takes the minute or two to help.

1. Which 3 online bookmakers websites do you use most frequently?

2. Which 2 real world bookmakers do you visit most frequently?

1) betfair - mostly where I can get a bet on and ask for a better price. Also lay a lot of dogs, football and horses. b365 are usually top price on early greyhounds and FGS/ anytime also non league footy. Generally use the other main ones on oddschecker equally apart from Paddy/boyles and Laddies.

2) do not usually visit a bricks and mortar bookies but if I had to it would be Hills, paddy and Laddies as they are the closet also paddy and lads not taking online bets might tempt me to visit if they where best price.

Good luck with the swop and interviews.

1. Betfair, Hills, one of Betfred, Ladbrokes, Paddy or 365 depending on odds
2. Hills and Betfred nearest to house, Ladbrokes nearest to work.

1. Probably, Paddy Power, B365, Ladbrokes,  though largely driven by current best prices/offers via oddschecker

2. Paddy Power - think their offers for big horse racing events  (money back etc) are often best, find their advertising least offensive of majors, shop screens/info are good eg one large wide screen where you can quickly look up a price for any of the days races.  Ladbrokes only by virtue of being closest.

Betfair mainly because of laying and better prices on golf outsiders. 365 offers coral connect for offers. Real world coral and betfred both handy

2. Betfair  - Usually best price about outsiders
3. Victor -  Often price promos on big races

Thanks guys, it's much appreciated. Been out of work for 4 or 5 months, through laziness/World Cup/no opportunities. It's a shop manager role with Coral - my first venture into the industry after working in fashion retail since I was 17.

Really pleased for you Scott.

I never even noticed the thread until this morning, as I've had a bit of a fraught week or two Next Door.

Good luck.

Look forward to you posting 8 hours a day from your shop race by race on the daily BAGS racing in between emptying the FOBT's!  Which area are you going to be working in?

In perhaps one of the least affluent areas of Dundee. Barely saw a note handed over in the 2 hours I've spent in the shop. Shop has a good atmosphere though with lots of regs so I look forward to starting. Quiet enough that I can look at form most of the time hopefully!
