Post by: Oxford_HRV on September 27, 2014, 04:10:12 PM hand 1 want to have a feel for others turn line. feel his continue range is v draw heavy
check through? b/f b/c sizing? second hand im 7/9 with 4 $700 seats, 5th $540~ double up makes us 2/9 hand 2 if we call here what turns are we giving up on? calling is very underrepped for our hand but probably worst board to flop nuts. donk bet flop? raise get it in? I know very little about PLO but if we have 20 bigs in hand 2 and we flop top set after calling a raise in the BB with a pretty poor starting hand PLO wise oop wtf are we doing in the hand in the first place if we are not willing to get it all in here? check raise to call off seems totally fine for me or just check shove. Title: Re: 4 max $27 plo satty -- flop/turn lines? Post by: Oxford_HRV on September 27, 2014, 04:55:34 PM its 3 handed, i think this is a standard defend in BB, the whole game is very shallow.
the big problem here is that 89X with flush draw is basically the nut worst board to flop nuts. we will have a very small equity edge vs nearly all calling hands. for instance we are pure flipping vs 567A nfd, only 60/40 vs big draws like TJKx with hearts. wrap hands without flush draws 67JT are actually ahead. its a disgusting flop for our hand. 269 or 279 would be a much easier decision as villains are less likely to flop combo draws and wraps on due to pre flop opening ranges. Title: Re: 4 max $27 plo satty -- flop/turn lines? Post by: SuuPRlim on September 27, 2014, 09:23:25 PM hand 1 you have to c/f the turn, sighs. I don't think I'd go for a c/r this flop as I think he checks back a lot. You will still be winning a decent amount I'd be very surprised if he bet any non flush OTT
hand 2 i'd raise now, you can get half your stack in, i wouldn't worry about him having a wrap, if he has a wrap he has a wrap that's a cooler. Chances are he'll fold but our hand is going to be very hard to play on every turn card OOP without the initiative. We're going to have to flop a FH to value bet at any point. Post by: SuuPRlim on September 28, 2014, 01:18:51 PM I'v not misread I don't think...
You're OOP you flopped braodway and lead as the PF 3bettor, the turn brought a flush in and I think you should check/fold but hopefully go to showdown and win, I don't think he'll turn a set or 2p into a bluff and will likely be pretty keen to check those hands down too. If he bets then you just have no where to go imo. No equity vs his value range and no blockers of any relevance. I presented the option of c/r the flop but I think he'll just be delighted to check so many hands that call a bet back. Hand 2 is a mandatory c/r imo. Title: Re: 4 max $27 plo satty -- flop/turn lines? Post by: Oxford_HRV on September 28, 2014, 06:04:24 PM Ahhh sorry! I thought you saying you personally wouldn't c/r flop was what you thought had happened :s
Hand 1: I decided to bet fold turn, sizing?? Well I bet 94k, two reasons really, stop villain from freely seeing river vs us with sets n 2p stuff, and for it to look like I really am craving value with some super nutted hand. Villain time bank folded. possibly thinking to bluff vs this sizing but it looks like I am trying to induce here right? Hand 2: I raised to 180k and called the jam, didnt hold there vs Kh Th Jc Ts. others have said aswell just pot it here to charge max if villain wants to peel some bs. My intention was to induce a light shove but think that rarely happens looking back on board texture. Title: Re: 4 max $27 plo satty -- flop/turn lines?
