Title: Calling on river UTG v BB?
Post by: KingPush on October 05, 2014, 05:25:20 PM
Sky Poker .1/.2

I open AA to .6(77+, A8s+, K9s+, QTs+, JTs, T9s, 98s, AJo+, KQo) is whole range, BB calls with a fishy looking stack (80ish bigs)

Flop KQ8r
I bet .8(AA,QQ,88,AKs,AJs-ATs,KJs,JTs,T9s,AKo,AJo) into 1.3, call.
8h on turn brings flush draw
I bet 1.8(AA,QQ,88,AKs,AJs-ATs,KJs,JTs,T9s,AKo,AJo) he raises to 5, I call(AA,QQ,88,AhJh,AhTh,JhTh). Think I could go even tighter here, ranges for him should be fairly tight considering utg open and I don't expect him to be that polarised with his turn raising ranges or his river betting ranges.
River Js
He shoves 10.3 into 11.9
I think it's an exploitable fold with AA here and probably a good one at this level. Prob only call with QQ,88,AhTh. Thoughts? Appreciate any feedback.

Seems std. Would fold the turn though.

Why would you fold turn? Just think he's never doing this with worse?

Really like the fact that you have given your entire range on each street. This be a model for others to follow IMO.

What's happened to 89s, you'd check the flop back? You have zero 8x combos on the turn then?

Agree with Pleno. It's an easy river fold, but can/should probably fold turn.
