Did you meet your girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife/significant other through it? Did it pay off a debt? Did it introduce you to some new friends? Did it cure you of something? Did it make you see the world in a different way? Did it make you a better person? etc."

What do i have poker to be thankful for ?

Well taking your examples as a guide

1= Did you meet your partner through poker ?

Yes. My last marrige broke down due to playing poker 24/7 so i ended up with the marrige guidance counsellor

2= Did you pay off a debt ?

Yes. When i first started playing poker i had a £3000 bank loan that i owed so i got a £5000 bank loan and paid off the £3000 one and kept the rest for poker

3= Did poker introduce you to some new friends ?

Yes. I had hundreds of friends before i started playing poker but lost touch with them all and now i have hundreds of new ones who follow me around every cash table i sit on

4= Did poker cure you of something ?

Yes. I used to suffer from really bad OCD and had to do certain things at certain times of day incase the world came to an end if i didnt. Eg: I had to make a cup of tea at exactly 3.20pm or i had to take the dog for a walk at exactly 4.20pm or i had to make sure all of the tins in the cupboards were all facing the same way at exactly 5.20pm

But now poker had changed all of that because i lose track of time and the day just floats by without any OCD attacks (btw i met a great guy on here yesterday called Rainman who said he had a question for me but i dont know what it is yet)

5= Did it make you see the world in a different way ?

Yes. Before poker i used to just spend my days going for walks in the fresh air and seeing our beautiful world but now i spend them looking at 4 walls and a ceiling thinking just how wonderful life is

6= Did it make you a better person ?

Yes. Before poker i would go running all the time and go on sponsored walks etc etc but now i sit infront of my pc all day just slowly getting bigger and bigger and they say bigger is better :)
