Title: Hand from MCOP Post by: The Camel on November 27, 2014, 05:41:33 PM Blinds are 1000-2000/300
I have just bluffed off 25k in a silly spot. Leaving myself with 85k. UTG, a very wild and aggressive player opens for 4500. UTG +1 is by far the tightest player on the table. He has only shown down premium hands in the 3 hours I've been at the table. He makes it 11k. I am on the button and find KK. Both players have me covered, they each have about 150k. Call/Raise/Shove? Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: pleno1 on November 27, 2014, 05:44:34 PM i think it truly depends on how you bluffed in the hand previously. depending on how you did it could make 4betting way better
Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: dreenie on November 27, 2014, 05:47:19 PM What are there stacks behind?
I would elect to shove if utg +1 is exactly how you described. Get called by Queens and double.... Flop QQ9. I check called 4800. Turn 9. check check. River 3, I bet 20k, he had a queen and someone made me show my hand. (there was a real mix up, he wanted to raise but the dealer miscalled it) This is the very next hand. Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: MC on November 27, 2014, 05:59:51 PM Interesting. Definitely don't call, I think I like this best vs described villain:

Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: SuuPRlim on November 27, 2014, 06:37:55 PM 4bet gonna look like youre steaming?
Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: pleno1 on November 27, 2014, 06:44:23 PM yeh 4b/c i think
Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: The Camel on November 27, 2014, 06:47:27 PM 4bet gonna look like youre steaming? I dunno, that was the dilemma: Option 1: Call - give the UTG player the chance to rr but leave the risk of playing the pot 3 handed. Option 2: Raise - does this look like I'm steaming or does it look insanely strong? Option 3: Shove - does this look I'm steaming more? Chance of not getting any action if UTG +1 has AQ or TT. Given you bet big before think you shove here, though don't think it makes much difference. Some will think you must be massive because you were FOS before when you bet big, others will assume the 4 bet is massive as big bet is bluff. Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: MC on November 27, 2014, 08:13:30 PM I highly doubt the UTG player is ever likely to 4bet in any way light vs described villain in these positions hence why I don't like calling.
I presume villain's 3 betting range from +1 could easily be JJ+, AK and doubt he folds them vs a jam Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: Junior Senior on November 28, 2014, 12:10:41 AM Just gii.
Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: scotty77 on November 28, 2014, 02:07:10 AM I think 4betting is slightly better than jamming.
Don't think there's much in it tho. Wouldn't ever be calling. Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: Honeybadger on November 28, 2014, 04:52:23 AM IMO 4betting to anywhere between 18k and 26k is better than either flatting or jamming.
Title: Re: Hand from MCOP Post by: The Camel on November 28, 2014, 10:39:45 AM Yeah, I four bet to 22k.
UTG folded, UTG +1 made a reluctant calll. Flop was K22 :/ We checked down to the turn where I bet 15k and he insta mucked. On reflection I thinking jamming was best. Close though.
