Title: Interesting spot
Post by: shipitgood on December 07, 2014, 11:35:40 PM
We have JJ in middle position, 9 handed mtt (live) table. We have approx. 40/45k starting stack was 25k blinds are 150/300

UTG opens, UTG + 1 Jams for 9k.

UTG for some reason is opening pretty light UTG - maybe some strategy you get more respect UTG.

Jammer has just lost most of his stack, where he called an all in with 10Q on a Q high board, opponent had JQ, jack kicker played.

Think all options are ok, rejamming/ calling/ folding.

I decided to call because it looks super strong. We prob have most players at the table covered, didn't want to rejam incase some of the many players behind had a monster.

And at the end of the day if there's any real heat, I can get away from the hand/ still have a decent stack.

Usually call unless everyone else at the table has about 22k or less in which case I just jam.

If UTG sticks it in for 25k or less I'm not folding.

Seems reasonable.

Then the Button Jams all in, it's 22k/23k for us to call.

UTG Folds

The button has been playing pretty tight and pretty straight up.
