Title: Christmas Help Needed
Post by: Tal on December 10, 2014, 05:00:22 PM
I've been asked to see if I can find a DVD of a fight: Roberto Duran v Carlos Palomino, 1979.

It's here and, if you're a boxing fan, well worth three quarters of your next free hour:

YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AResXZ7A-Wo

Does anyone have any ideas where I can find this?

Alternatively, I might be reaching out to anyone who could convert the above into a DVD and getting in touch with me directly, in exchange for a Christmas beverage.

I think you convert it quite easily from youtube and if you have a DVDRW it's easy enough to stick on DVD.  I haven't done it myself but I'm  informed its a pretty easy job.

This is very nice of you Iron.
Could you do the same for me?
I'd like a dvd made of a movie called "Sex Trek: Deep Throat 9".
5000 copies should do the trick.
Thx in advance.

Missed a trick here Iron, in true The League style you could have got at least a 2nd maybe even a 3rd round pick.

i thought about that while i was sorting it out this afternoon TAL caught me while i was feeling a little ill

knowing my luck though i would of gotten a 3rd round pick with tal having number 16 in the draft anyway and he will be banned for beating up his boyfriends lover

Just a final note to say Iron is a bona fide ledge.

And please watch the fight. If you want to watch two blokes going toe to toe for 12 solid rounds, it's as good as it gets.

Was wondering why I hadn't taken my shoes and socks off.

Thank you!

YW.

The early 70's to somewhere in the mid 90's were the glory days of boxing IMO. I watched so many truly gladiatorial bouts.

I know there were many great fighters before then, but that was before TV coverage came of age and made the top bouts accessible to the common man.
