Title: Alternator for Fiats Post by: david3103 on January 05, 2015, 02:10:35 PM My daughter has a Fiat Idea, 2003 Eleganza 1.4 with a failed alternator.
The Idea is pretty rare and a lot of the parts appear to be model specific. That makes finding a cheap salvage alternator really hard and expensive. Looking around, some of the ads I have found suggest that this may be a part that could also be used on some Puntos and other makes. Anyone got any thoughts on this? I found an ebay seller for new 'SB254 70 amp' alternators that seem to also be in a variety of other small Fiats.
