Title: 55 winners Post by: MereNovice on January 10, 2015, 09:11:47 PM I've received an e-mail saying that the SkyBet Super 6 £250,00 was shared by 55 winners today.
I thought that there was a tie-break of predicting the minute of the first goal. They can't all have got the same for that too, surely? Soccer Saturday Super 6 has been won for a third time this season after a remarkable 55 players correctly predicted six correct scores in the Premier League. The grand prize has been won by two individuals already this season, but amid Saturday’s relatively low-scoring results in the Premier League, multiple users will share the prize. Just 11 goals were scored in the six featured games, with Burnley's 2-1 win over Queens Park Rangers providing the longest odds at just 15/2. The six correct scores combined accumulated odds of 60,166/1 and the group of winners will receive £4,545 each for their accurate efforts. Title: Re: 55 winners Post by: TightEnd on January 10, 2015, 09:16:02 PM much more likely to be won when results are 1-0 1-1 0-0 and 2-1 etc yes?
much more predictable correct scores (as a distribution of probabilities) than a normal weekend Title: Re: 55 winners Post by: MereNovice on January 10, 2015, 09:29:25 PM Yes, I think that it's fair to assume that more people predict "normal" scorelines but 55 people is still a big number.

Do they make it known how many entries there were? Title: Re: 55 winners Post by: mulhuzz on January 10, 2015, 09:39:23 PM Maybe they are people that leave the default 1 min in place and it clicked? was 12th min at burnley edit: so maybe that means nobody predicted the correct golden goal of 12 mins and then they chop it up instead of moving on to second goal, etc. Title: Re: 55 winners Post by: engy on January 10, 2015, 09:40:16 PM 55 people hitting a 60,000/1 shot got to take some doing
