Title: I bought a book today
Post by: bobby1 on January 18, 2015, 05:36:58 AM
Called 'The Klutz book of inventions'....where brilliant meets ridculous.

What would be your top 5 from these 'ridiculous' inventions

1. Coat hangers for short people. It is a coathanger with a 3 foot rod between the hanger bit and the hook to hang it in the wardbrobe
2. The headbed is a pillow that you wrap around your head on flights/trains/ buses that allows you to sleep in comfort.
3. Scratch and sniff menus
4. A windless kite, is an 18 feet lightwieght pole with a kite on top so you can fly your kite without having to wait for wind.
5. Ocean ears, like earphones but with two Conch shells to fit over each ear. Ideal for long flights where you will listen to the sound of soothing waves as you fly.
6. The multimug is basically a big cup with three compartmensts and three handles, so is three cups in one cup and saves washing your cup after one use.
7. To stop people using your stuff there is the range of password protected electrical stuff. staplers, electric toothbrushes, calculators etc.
8. The squeze me cutlery set, a fork or spoon where condiments are are loaded into the strudy plastic handle which when squeezed releases the condiment of choice on to your fork full of food as you put it into your mouth.
9. The screenshaver is an Iphone with an electric razor on the back
10. The dumb bell TV remote control console. Forget push ups and bench presses all you need to do is hit the couch and log some serious TV time.

Which would you choose?

They do sell some crap in the USA, Phil.

Would anyone buy ANY of those things?

3,5,8,9,10

Not in that order but I'd have those 5.

Is the headbed not a commonplace thing these days or is this one something else?

No 8 sounds awesome.  Would keep a backup supply of HP sauce.

Good to see one if them made it, that product is far more streamlined than the one in the book which was a bit like a pillow with some Velcro on it.

The hanger seems like a good idea.
