Daniel Rudd Wins Event #2: $1,150 NLHE Shotclock Shootoutpoker

For someone who rarely plays tournaments Daniel Rudd is starting to make a bit of a name for himself on the tournament scene.

The young Brit banked close to $770,000 in a six-way World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) chop in September, and he’s now gone and added an Aussie Millions side event to his CV.

The PokerAsiaPacific blog said that Rudd ‘dominated the final table before fading away late’, but that didn’t stop him winning the flips that mattered against Hiroaki Harada and the WSOP bracelet winner Angel Guillen.

Event #2 Final Table Results

1st. Daniel Rudd – $31,390*
2nd. Hiroaki Harada – $37,913*
3rd. Angel Guillen – $35,397*
4th. Gregory Cook – $15,830
5th. Rory Cook – $13,200
6th. Alexander Lynskey – $10,650
7th. Alexander Debus – $8,620
8th. David Heskin – $6,900
9th. John Thomson – $5,380

Bit silly to say the person who won 3rd largest amount of money won the tournament.

As soon as the deal is struck stop play and just declare Harada the winner.

The entire 2015 Aussie Millions Main Event field sat under the one roof for the first time on Wednesday as the 338 survivors of the opening three flights came together to continue their journey towards fame and fortune.

Those players were joined by six late registrations and after a shortened five-level day, that number had been reduced to just 136.

The overall number of 648 entrants for the Main Event is a little down on last year but still a very strong result, with the top 72 players to finish in the money and a top prize of $1,600,000.

Aussie Millions Main Event Day 2 Top Ten Counts

Jan Suchanek – 483,900
Keanu Simpson – 403,000
James Rann – 382,000
