I'm a mostly into Rock/metal/punk/blues/the odd bit of folk too. Must have an audible guitar part or just doesn't really register.

My guilty pleasure is this track

masterpiece of production, especially the layered harmony vocal tracks in the middle part

Most of the stuff I regularly listen to could be put in this thread...but tbh there's only one "band" I kinda have to listen to quietly, and that is Babymetal.

I really like the song by the weird Irish gay twins that was in Eurovision a couple of years ago, Waterfall I think it was called.

No need to feel ashamed bud, just remember these words.

Let the storm rage on.

HERE I STAND, and HERE I'LL STAY.

Great Tune, listen to it most days. In fact, in our 8 man apartment in Prague we (I) played it every morning before the days tournaments. It brought good luck so it stuck...

I could have a field day in this thread.

My first single I bought was Geri Halliwell It's Raining Men and that remains one of my finest musical purchases.

I love Disney soundtracks like Lion King and Aladdin.

Classical Music

Musicals - Les Mis is a cracker.

OK I'll stop there.

Most of these aren't even close to being embarrassing. (With the exception of Frozen, of course).
Going to go through my cassette tapes in a minute - pretty sure I will find some interesting stuff.

Love this too much.

This is probably pretty credible - aside from the attire in the vid - but find myself singing along to this in the car, on repeat.

Hmmm...this one's almost Eurovision.

Can't understand why people laugh at me when I play them this.

Lot's more where they came from - only up to 'C' (had the Strawberrys in mind prior to looking).

I like how you tried to be trendy by saying Cassette's when you only own Vinyl, thinking that cassette's were 'in' these days.

Actually, if I dug out my vinyl stuff, it could be really bad. Definitely got this one on a 45rpm. In my defence, it was for charity.

That's one song though - not sure I see the depth in the whole soundtrack  :dontask:

+1 for Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum though - saw Lady A at the Brooklyn Bowl last year in a little concert, a lot of feedback I saw afterwards had people saying it was the best concert they'd ever been to.

I don't like the idea of taking video's at concerts by the way - but I'm quite glad some people disagree and have decent sound quality on their phones/cameras :)

This is stuff you're not supposed to like but do, right?

I have a wider range in music than I do at the poker table, but there's a few on the outer edges of decency for a gentleman:

YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6M6samPEMpM

A definitive 90s boy band song, as is this:

This still gets an occasional play in times of sadness:

If that's too acceptable...

I have to listen to all sorts of crap on my daughters cd's.  We get through all sorts of stuff and a lot of it rubs off.  I'm with you on Taylor Swift but there's all sorts of stuff.  She has a CD that's called Pop Princesses, that's sadly quite good.

Man alive I just realised it was released in 1977.

The excellent "Classic Albums" TV Series on BBC & Sky Arts featured "Meat Loaf, Bat Out of Hell" earlier this week, & was well up to the usual standard, very good watching indeed.

It should be on Sky Catch Up or I-player, well worth a look.

It includes a close examination of Meat Loaf's complex relationship with Jim Steinman.

As Albums go, it really was one of a kind, & quite exceptional.
