Title: ICM Simples
Post by: shipitgood on January 27, 2015, 11:32:45 PM
Yep, me again! nightly PHA jaunt. Got some boom boom boomety hands. Pretty cool, we might see it on Sky at somepoint in the next 50 years. OK, maybe a bit optimistic there!

The hands are from a 45 man Sit and Go. The bubble has just burst.

http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/12750709_AD0F6B0D98 There is a shortie, think this a slam dunk jam?

This one is on the bubble, both players are on the tight side: http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/12750750_EA79EE4C53

This hand is the reason I made the post. Probs goin to get pelters for this one. I folded Ace 6 OTB, because of the shortie. Bleh think this is a jam

I'd jam all of them, if you send me HHs i put it into HoldemResources and tell you how many bb you're winning each hand (assuming villains call off correctly, which nobody does). 99 is the closest spot i'd imagine.

1. Think this is easily the most interesting of the lot, depends on what the 2 big stacks are playing like. I think pushing is better than folding but min raising might be better and folding to the 2 big stacks and calling the rest.

2. Got to call here, though ICM wise it is probably only marginally +ev.

3. This is a slam dunk shove, clearest of the lot. You can't bust so you are exerting ICM pressue on the blinds, I would shoving very wide here.

4. Yeah shove but like 2 probably not a massive +ev spot.

How would I send a hand history from Stars? Just a matter of finding the hand, and copying and pasting it (still getting used to stars!)

Thanks Wotr and Longy.

The 99 hand is really interesting.

7 handed, from UTG this is the bottom of what I would be shoving. I would say 99+, AQ+. Is this to tight?

Really interesting min raising. I had 14 bigs, so could just get away with min raise /foldin to someone who had me covered and can also get some of the shorter stacks to jam with worse.

In these types of games (turbo sit and gos) with 14 bigs, is it better to be min raising(or just over) from late position as opposed to jamming. With 20 bigs for example, i'd be quite happy just applying as much pressure as possible.

Out of interest, in this hand, the cut off, has us covered just, what should his calling range look like given my jam?

This is prob way too tight, but JJ+ AQ+? Is JJ even a fold there? So we jam (3rd in chips) Cut off (2nd in chips) has us covered only just (would be left with approx. 1k).
