Title: PLO5 cash turn
Post by: pokerplayingfarmer on January 30, 2015, 09:22:54 PM
Opinions through this please, this turn felt so sick, I dont run a hud so no stats but villain is a reg multitabling, seems solid enough, has given a small amount of verbal to another player in a previous hand.  Obviously I'm trapping the flop here, hoping opp will make smaller house that may let me get paid, as my image is probably a little spewy in villains eyes I maybe should just set out firing flop?

cant figure out if im inclined to raise the flop.

I'd fold the turn, you can only chop this pot and you have to have either AK or AQ when you call the flop

I did fold the turn, I was in two minds wether to raise or not on flop, as I was certain cord had minimum AK, probs AQ maybe even AKQ, didn't really want to give him a freeroll, also Flatting the 2.50 gives asot a chance to peel drawing probably dead.  Calling 6 to fold river for 14.50 feels really spewy.

I am intrigued as to what the thinking was calling that flop ?
What were you hoping for on the turn?  Interested to learn.

when the guy raises the flop in 5O...its pretty likely he has AQ also, so if he has a K in his hand he has a 3 our freeroll, and if he doesn't then its just a gtd chop (aside from a royal flush out ofc!) now there is a chance he has QQ or just an ACE, or maybe is bluffing (pretty slim all these chances, if he has anything other than AQ its very likely QQ) when we call we do keep the chance of worse hands in the pot (if he can indeed ever have worse) and if he has a worse hand than us he is likely drawing close to dead, but if he does have AQ+ then we have 0% win chance.

SO i think calling the flop is defo the best play, and hoping he stops betting (our flop overcall should really scare him) because in that case we prolly have the best hand.

The more i think about it, raising the flop would be pretty bad.

That's exactly why I did call the flop.  But explained better than I ever could, thanks Dave
