Title: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: George2Loose on January 31, 2015, 09:20:07 AM Nothing too deep. Inspired by Mitch's never watched a stars wars film. What haven't you never done that people would perhaps expect you have done?
I've never been on a Stag do abroad (about to break my duck on Match). Maybe a bit mundane but can't think of anything else! Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: 77dave on January 31, 2015, 09:22:36 AM never seen or read harry potter
Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: tikay on January 31, 2015, 09:42:41 AM Never been to a stag do. Never read a Harry Potter book. Never watched BB or SCD. Never been to a Club in Vegas. None of which I feel I should have done, as it happens. Things I should have done? Quit smoking. Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: Junior Senior on January 31, 2015, 09:55:33 AM Become a pro golfer. You only live once. Might have massively failed but you never know.
Not walked away from a couple of fights at school. Might have got a bloody nose but would have been very satsifying to have got involved and come out on top. Not walked away from a couple of fights at school. Might have got a bloody nose but would have been very satsifying to have got involved and come out on top. +1 to the fights. I'm a pacifist, I hate confrontation, but I've walked away from a couple in the past that still hurt to this day. I'm not talking about drunken brawls outside pubs, but in the right circumstances, getting involved and losing is still more satisfying than walking away. Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: RED-DOG on January 31, 2015, 10:42:49 AM I wish I'd organised a pension.
Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: Woodsey on January 31, 2015, 10:44:30 AM Got offered a job to work in one of the safari bush camps In South Luangwa park in Zambia 5 or 6 years ago. Needing to sell my house stopped me from going, wish I'd found a way.

Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: arbboy on January 31, 2015, 11:04:20 AM Only thing i regret not doing is buying a decent sized house in 1996 after graduating when they were only twice my graduate salary when i was an accountant. Incredible looking back compared to today's prices and the graduate salary's of 2015. Don't regret not doing anything else in life.
Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: vegaslover on January 31, 2015, 11:09:59 AM I don't know about it being what other people should have expected you to do but from a personal point of view I wish I had taken the step into buy-to-let in the late 90s. Had a look at it and decided risking my house, having only bought a few months prior, was too big a risk!!

Never been to Coral Reef - the local water slide place in Bracknell. Despite living less than half a mile away, I've never been. I'm not keen on public swimming pools, I like swimming, it's the thought of all those strangers in the pool I don't like. I'm a bit weird like that. Gone to Uni - not sure my life would be any different but I'll always regret pissing around at 6th form and not studying. Should have sorted out a pension too. Not too late I guess but I'd have to put away more than I can afford now I think, although I'm just reading an article on starting one at 40 and it's says even £100 pm is enough to start with. Perhaps I should look into this more on Monday morning. Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: leethefish on January 31, 2015, 12:47:46 PM Bought a tax free car in Germany

Hahaha, I'm the oppsite Tom, should have walked away from a few in my time, however in my defence I was usually taking up the fight for someone who couldn't. Lost a few mind but never once thought it wasn't worth it. You may be surprised to know I've never been on a motorbike. Never done Uni and like a poster before not entirely convinced I would have benefitted. I'm a believer in if your good enough and you make the effort you will find your level in life Geo Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: I KNOW IT on February 01, 2015, 06:47:28 AM I have never visited Amsterdam
Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: GreekStein on February 01, 2015, 07:57:06 AM Finished Uni.
Continued learning more of the languages I loved. Crossed the road that one night when I was walking home alone when I was about 13 years old and had a knife pulled on me and got mugged. That experience had a lot of negative impacts on me for quite a long time. Imo it stunted my social life, my self confidence etc and made me a late starter with things like going out etc. If I bumped into those two guys today I would do bad things to them. Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: AdamM on February 05, 2015, 09:23:29 AM I should have been 100% committed to playing music for a living when I was a teenager.
I took the advice of absolutely everyone that said "you have to have a back up plan" which is rubbish. The people that make it, throw EVERYTHING at it and live to play. Every waking minute should have been spent practicing, writing, jamming, auditioning, rehearsing and performing for anyone that would listen. Every minute spent grinding a regular job or pursuing an activity that doesn't move you forward towards that goal, holds you back. Go hard or go home. It's still pretty early in my life for me to have regrets/things I should have done but... - Worried less about what others thought in my first years of Secondary School. - Spent/spend more time with my grandparents. I am terrible for this and, whilst it's easy to blame geographical/work commitments, deep down I know I could/should make more of an effort. - Should never have become a 'social smoker'. Was only for a short time but it's massively idiotic, carries no tangible benefits whatsoever, and if it has implications later in life I will kick myself. - Been more forgiving of/patient with others. - Blown healthy chipstacks less. /deep and meaningful. Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: Karabiner on February 05, 2015, 03:13:03 PM I've never been to Nando's and am still waiting for Vinny to take me.
I've never watched a single episode of The Simpsons. I wish I hadn't left San Franciso after a couple of months in 1967. Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: scotty77 on February 07, 2015, 05:58:00 PM Never smoked a cigarette. Not even a puff. Love the smell tho.

Title: Re: Things you perhaps should've done in life Post by: MANTIS01 on February 07, 2015, 06:13:44 PM There are 3 or 4 chaps I work with who have never had a cup of tea. I mean wtf is that all about?!? How can you go through life as an Englishman having not tasted tea?? In my annoyance i have made them several cups just so they can try it but have been met with point blank refusal on every occasion. Weird and unsettling imo.
