Are you a beginner? Intermediate? I'll tailor an answer accordingly. :) Title: Re: $15 and $8 180's S&G's on Stars Post by: Omm on February 05, 2015, 04:21:13 PM I've never played the 180's before, have a decent understanding of Poker, play pretty ABC, have more patience for Live poker believe it or not. Been playing mainly in Sky for the last few years and that is 6 max. Results have been pretty up and down, I find that on sky I would keep switching games from DYM to Tournaments and Cash. While I have the time and to keep my mind occupied I want to focus on a format and try and get as good as possible. I'll be playing most days and can play day or night to suit.
I find that when I have found the patience and concentration I get better results (obvious!!) but I will be going to the Casino less (usually 3/4 times a week to just once a week) so want to invest more time online. I may want to also run some Tournaments alongside (unless advised otherwise) Thank for your help, any other Info needed? They mainly consist of push/fold boringness.
This chart should help a bit if you do decide to continue. They are pretty much a poor mans spin and go unless your an expert with the charts. Its not very exciting poker imo ofc. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiRCAFDKL6fIdHE0QWt5elZMUkU4YzVrSlBVZk5EMFE&hl=en_US#gid=3 Title: Re: $15 and $8 180's S&G's on Stars Post by: Omm on February 05, 2015, 06:04:00 PM The regs grind out 5-25% and have swings consisting of thousands of games. It may not be the game for me but I'll have a good read up and play around before I commit to anything. I used to grind these and although a bit monotonous I enjoyed printing money. Alas they are tougher these days. Title: Re: $15 and $8 180's S&G's on Stars Post by: Omm on February 06, 2015, 10:48:04 AM Gotta say last night was the first night I played them solidly for A good few hours and although I had some success I found them to be truly boring, absolutely none of the fun of a tournament and very much geared towards correct decision making with no room for error. Probably not going to be for me I'm afraid.
