Title: Software for Recording a Poker Session/ Makin a viedo Post by: shipitgood on February 07, 2015, 06:06:23 PM Last year I used to use a programme called "capturewiz", which was fantastic and really easy to use.
I have googled capturewiz, but all that seems to come up is a programme that appears to be for taking screen shots. I have tried cam studio and VLC player but neither programme seems to work. Any ideas for a decent free programme that'll be able to record for 1 hour plus?/ Thanks Title: Re: Software for Recording a Poker Session/ Makin a viedo Post by: titaniumbean on February 07, 2015, 06:18:51 PM proprietary software on a free trial, or free stuff....
google is your friend. camtasia, bbflashback recorder, xsplit, you could even use OBS to record to disk as opposed to stream, or any of the other things you find linked on google. Title: Re: Software for Recording a Poker Session/ Makin a viedo Post by: ActionDanS on February 07, 2015, 06:24:26 PM Twitch might be a viable option, and as far as I know is free.
I know that means you have to record "live", but there is the option to view past broadcasts. So people can still view. Perhaps that's a bit too public though, but the free part probably appeals. :) Title: Re: Software for Recording a Poker Session/ Makin a viedo Post by: titaniumbean on February 07, 2015, 07:02:34 PM Twitch might be a viable option, and as far as I know is free. OBS is the most used one, it's free, and you don't have to stream to record straight to your hard disk ;) Title: Re: Software for Recording a Poker Session/ Makin a viedo Post by: ActionDanS on February 07, 2015, 07:20:19 PM Ah right. Naively thought twicth would provide the tools :)

Done a wee mock video, looks awesome and everything, but for some reason I can't get it to show as a video on full screen, like it comes up with the edit stuff, and I cant get rid of the edit bits. file>export (probably use flash) for poker you just need stack size clarity, and the cards. after that the aim of the game is a small file size to make transferring it easier. frame rate can be relatively low because the graphics matter little, video quality can be reduced via trial and error. you don't have to touch any other setting normally. BBFlashback saves into it's own format, which is what you're opening and why you are seeing the menus, you have to export it into another format to share with other people. Before you export it make sure you are done editing it etc obviously. Looking to get it into a format, where I can post it on my blog/ or just in a format where I can just view it on computer, fastfoward / pause / rewind. ANy help appreciated!
