Title: Make your mind up. Post by: RED-DOG on March 09, 2015, 09:09:49 AM Last night I watched a TV program about a man who survived being electrocuted. He was put on a life support machine and acording to the doctors he had no brain activity. According to the electrocutee, he was aware of what was happening in the room and could hear his family talking to him.
Eventually the decision was made to turn off his life support, but his brother refused to allow it and ordered the man to wake up, which he did. He went on to make a full recovery. Whatever your view on the story, it gave rise to an interesting question. Does the mind reside in the brain, and what evidence do we have to support that? |
