Title: Betting on Cheltenham Festival BANNED?
Post by: tikay on March 10, 2015, 08:23:58 AM

If that were true, would you still watch the whole thing with as much excitement?

Poker is a game that needs money to work, but that's not the case with great sporting spectacles.

I never had a bet on last night's epic encounter between Man U & The Arse, & I think I enjoyed it all the more because of that, my heart & mind enjoyed it, unfettered by my pocket wanting this or that to happen.

So, betting is banned at Cheltenham - would you still watch? Is it possible we'd enjoy it more without the pain & pleasure of punting?

Think of the money you'd save, though.

Probably this, I watch a load of races with no money down as it is anyway.

Not having a bet* on this year's Festival. Will be watching all of it on C 4 today, working Wed-Fri so record it and watch when I get home.

*Got a minor interest in the Tipping Comp so technically got money involved I guess?
