Won a sat into the EPT main last night so off to Malta.  I'll be honest and say that the last 10 live tournies have not gone well however confidence is starting to return with decent results this year from my bread and butter cash games on NL100/200/300.

17k from 25k starting. Haven't won a pot. Folded QdQh in a 4bet pot on a 982sss that cost me 5k. Table really solid but should be breaking soon.

26k at 150/300. Nothing major has happened

Played so solid. Open AA UTG 1k Guy jams in 7k with A8cc and wins.

Grinding 15k now at 250/500 but think we are the next table to break so some fresh faces and 30bb not the end of the world.

Really grinded it today.  But sadly bust 2 hands from the end of the days play.

I open ATdd in MP to 2.2k out of 28k.  Really active guy who had been going to way with Timex 3b BB to 7k.  Thought my jam would get thru a really decent amount but sadly not when he had KK.  Not even a sweat on the flop.

Could have folded and come back to 23bb to day 2.  Maybe that was better just felt the jam works a lot.

I guess what shoulda stopped me jamming was the 3bet size he went to but guess he went bigger to induce.  Probably one of those hands where if it was 30 mins before the end of the day i just let him have it, but in the moment assumed he'd be using the 'get to day 2' factor to put on some extra pressure.

2k today. Got a tough 3 handed table right now need people to reg quicker!

Lost a few small pots to go to 16k from 20k starting.

Then 75/150. UTG 400 I go to 900 with AsAc. He calls. Flop J65ddx. He checks I bet 1200 he raises to 3200 I call. Turn Td and he bets 4500 I can't do anything other than fold.

Then UTG raises 450 I go 1k with AKcc he calls. Flop 853ccx he check calls 1300. Turn 2x check check. River 8x check check he has A8hh.

UTG limps 200 I go 700 with ThTd. SB calls UTG calls. 742ddx I bet 1500 SB folds UTG calls. 6d turn check check. River 8x he bets 2k and looks really comfortable so just had to fold. I think I made a mistake in this hand as on the flop when the action was on him he looked like he was going to fold and took his time to call so I'd imagine that takes diamonds out of his range. I had 8k back and pot was 5.5k so maybe I should have just jammed as only hand that improved on that turn (if we remove diamonds) was 66.

Peeled pre with 55 and 78s multi way and bricked but just won a hand just before the break to go to 11k at 150/300

Just had a hand where a mistake pre from another player costs us a treble up. Pretty tilting!

UTG opens 900 I just peel JJ playing 40bb in MP intending to trap an active player on the BTN. He does indeed go to 2600. UTG thinks for a while and puts out chips and I can see they are enough for a raise so I fold. Just after I fold it becomes clear from his reaction that he meant to just call. Which if he does I jam with JJ. They get it in regardless. Woulda held v AKcc and AKhh.

Got in JJ v AA for 20bb. KKQK3 board so drawing dead by turn.

IPT was a grind with no real hands, the IPT HR was a  lot of strong hands that couldn't win so fingers crossed that the EPT main will go better.

Only hand from today that I'm disappointed by was the TdTx on the 74dd2x6d board where I didn't jam there turn.  Just didn't use the physical tells to my advantage.  When he tank called flop remember thinking he's basically got 66/55/A5s/A3s here always then when the 6d hit I suddenly was worried about diamonds when it just didn't make sense at all.  Pretty sure that I let him get there with 55/A5.

The crucial hand was the one where I had JJ and there was that misclick pre from the UTG.  Get that in, win the hand and i have a decent stack.

BTW exit hand was JJ v AA for 20bb each so 40bb pot, reading back sounds like it was 10bb each/20bb pot.

Just over 40k from 30k starting. Happy with the table.

Just folded KK pre flop for 15bb. Lost a couple of small ones too. 35k.

Frustrating 2 levels.

3b red AA and get 2 peels. Was done with the hand anyway as soon as I saw the JTss8c flop but there was a bet and a raise before me so easy fold anyway.

Bricked 45hh after peeling button multiway on the Kx67hh flop but I decided to just call on the flop with the monster draw so the damage was minimal

Got in AKhh v this Italian guy who's been steaming since level 1 and been good to go. He had 88 and held for 7k each.

Still above starting at 35k at 150/300

Think you'd better stop playing AA & KK Ryan.

Got upto 65k then bricked a few then lost w AK and QQ so 45kish at dinner break going back to 250/500

Finished on 69k.

Had a funny hand right at the end of the day. Get in AAv QTdd. Flop KQT. 2 turn J river!

69k seems tickity boo, gives you a healthy & very playable Day 2 stack, you know exactly how to play a stack, & have nothing to fear (except bad luck) from anyone.

15BB was the bet he faced, effective stacks may haver been far greater.

Just seen that I explained the KK hand wrong.

Raise UTG 525, UTG1 peels, very poor player UTG2 goes to 1300, I cold 4bet to 3400 and UTG snap goes all in for 33k.

Today's not going well but think I have an ok table. I've made 2 light call downs which I'm really not happy with and 1 small bluff that was fine just got unlucky he had that specific hand. Stack is 46k at 6/1200.

Got a new table and got upto 95k.

Then 4bet AKs pre to 15k CO v BTN he peels. Flop T92ccx I just have to check fold.

3bet QQ to 8.5k pre guy calls. K63xdd flop ck ck I call 10k on a 7x turn and fold to 25k on the Td river.

I 4bet pre with AKs to 18k and get cold 5vet from a nitty SB to 32k. I just peel and he open jams QJ6hhx flop. Should just fold pre I think but the price with a suited AK felt too good.

Then 2 hands later I open JJ to 3.5k. Guy from the previous hand 3bets to 8k. Guy next to him cold 4bets to 16.5k. I have 55k behind/35bb and felt I could certainly jam as it could have been a spot where the cold 4better could assume I'm steaming from the one 2 hands ago.

I fold and 3better calls. Flop Q98r. 3bettor checks 4bet goes 14k, then a check raise to 40k. We get to see the gutting Tx turn. And a bet fold. Safe to saw I was prob behind pre but Woulda got there.

Just under 60 at 1/2k.

Got in AJ v AQ for 20bb each. 662TJ board. About 90k now into the last level of the night 1200/2400/300

82k for tomorrow at 1.5/3k.  Tough day and needed a 3 outer the river to survive but very happy to still be in.

Only played one pot where I defend with 78cc v a BTN open to 6.5k from BB. I check call 7k on a A48xhh. Turn 4x check check and river is 6h and I check fold to 25k.

1 spot I passed up was UTG1 with 77 and 17bb v an UTG open from Tbf Tournie CL. He had just shown down opening J7o from UTG1 the hand previous and he was raising into 2 good rejamming stacks in the blinds so I think it's fine to let it go there.

Got down to 50 but just found JJ SB v a 6.5k open and a call and my jam took it down pre do 65kish.

60k on the first break. 2/4k/500 now. About 20 to go until the money so gonna need to find some spots to at least maintain.

Bust about 15 before the money.  Open Jammed 15bb with ATss and called by JJ. J45 red flop so not many options there!

Sorry guys. Think I can maybe raise/fold pre but at 2/4/500 and just under 60 I felt I had to go with it.

Another annoying thing is that when I shipped I had looked at the board and it was 144 left with 127 paid. When I was leaving the tournie room they had changed it to 135. Think I just fold if I know that.
