Title: Anybody know about sheep
Post by: mikeymike on March 14, 2015, 08:13:12 PM
Hi

I have access to ten acres of quality pasture land and am thinking of buying a flock of sheep, probably between 50 - 100, can anybody recommend a breed that is fairly hardy.

I am not looking to make any profit from this venture its more a hobby.

Cheers

I put some sheep in one of my fields once and it was a nightmare

The ministry wanted notifying about them individually

They wanted shearing

They wanted dipping

They got out

Take the easy option let it for horses

Good Luck

Horses can be a bit of a mare too if you have to look after them yourself. Fortunately boarders usually come with a teenage girl.

Let them be responsible for looking after and most importantly make them accountable for the fencing
