Title: iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge? Post by: Kmac84 on March 15, 2015, 03:57:27 PM My contract is due for renewal next month, I have been really underwhelmed by the iphone 5. Batterry life is rancid, I need something fairly durable.
I am about 70% committed to going for the samsung, I like everything about samsung and have a samsung telly/laptop so makes sense to have the phone as well. Your thoughts both positive and negative are welcom. Title: Re: iPhone 6 or Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge? Post by: toddswain on March 15, 2015, 04:01:53 PM No idea about other phones, I had iPhone 4 and currently have the 5, won't be getting the 6 as I'm completely fed up with the shocking battery

Battery life is an issue for all smartphones. I'll be looking for the new Samsung for my next upgrade. Have a HTC One atm and regret moving from the Galaxy Nexus I had before. If it is there's certainly no way near as many arrows as that, it would be very close. Having just gone back to Apple from an HTC phone, there's not a lot in it. I quite liked the big clock and weather on the opening screen on the HTC but then the small clock at the top tells the right time and I can look outside and get a more accurate weather report. People say that Android is better because you can customise it. If that's your thing then it probably is but after being on Android for the last 3.5 years, I've never customised it. I tried to install that Cyanogenmod thing a few months ago but it failed and crashed my phone. I then had to basically wipe it and reinstall Android so lost everything - couldn't say I was that impressed but my own fault. Apps definitely work better on the iOS, they're made for the same phone. A quick glance through the Play store will reveal lots of unhappy people with various bits of software working on one device but not another. A couple of the apps I use also have more functionality on the Apple version. A lot of apps come out for iOS first. The battery on the iPhone 6 seems fine, it's certainly good enough for me but then I'm not a particularly heavy user. |
